Luke's POVMy eyes widened as I stared at the throw up on my shirt and pants.
"I'm sorry." Leilani told me as she started to cry again.
"It's okay, honestly." I told her as I stood up from the bed and hurried to the bathroom.
Ever since Leilani woke up from that nightmare this morning, she's been sick as a dog.
She wouldn't tell me what happened in the dream but I figured it had to be really bad for her to sob like she did.
After cleaning up and changing, I laid back beside Leilani and pulled her to my chest.
"Drink your water Lani." I told her.
She shook her head."I can't, I'm full." She sniffled.
I shook my head at her excuse and ran my fingers through her hair."How'd you get sick?" I ask her. She shrugged her shoulder as she started shaking again.
"I wasn't sick yesterday." She told me.
I tried to ignore the vomit breath, but I couldn't.I stood up and held out a hand to her.
"Where are we going?"
"To brush your teeth."
She tried to hide the laugh she was holding back, but it eventually came out."Mean." She mumbled.
"I'm only mean because you know it's true." I mumbled as I nudged her shoulder and gave her her toothbrush.
After she brushed her teeth, she was hungry so we went downstairs to get something to eat.
"Best friend, you look horrible." A guy said to Leilani as he held her hands and pulled her to him and squeezed her.
I tried not to be jealous of the way she just held onto him, like she was scared to let go.
"I don't feel good Mark." She told him as she sat up and slowly walked back by me and linked her arm with mine, laying her head on my arm in the process.
"That's weird. Kobe is sick too."
How cute. The couple is even sick together. But who was that girl yesterday? They seemed all touchy feely.
"Who was that girl yesterday? Isn't that against boyfriend code or something?" I asked Lani.
She gave me a confused look before a look of realization hit her.
"We broke up six months ago." She mumbled before looking down at her feet.
Wow. She still looks hurt by it too. I guess she isn't ready to move on.
"Sorry for your loss?" I ask more than say.
She chuckled lightly before pushing my head away from her.
"Michelle? did you cook today?" Leilani asked a older looking girl.
Michelle shook her head no with a frown.
