Missing Child

Leilani's POV

We were in lunch when all of a sudden police officers came into the cafeteria.

Everyone quieted down and then one of them spoke into the mic.

"We are here because a child from this school has been reported missing." The man said. Everyone started whispering.

"If you know anything about Kobe Green and Xavier Green please contact us." The man said.
My eyes widened and I froze.

Missing? How can Kobe and Xavier be missing. I just saw Kobe yesterday.

"Dang. Kid must have skipped town." Some kids were saying.

(Right before math class. End of day)

"What did you do?" Luke asked me as he came up to me all mad. I was at my locker.

"I didn't do anything." I say. I don't know what he's talking about but I didn't do anything.

"Don't lie to me Leilani. I know you have something to do with this." He says walking closer to me. I shut my locker and faced him, holding my books tightly in my arms.

"I didn't do anything Luke." I tell him.
As I stare into his eyes, I see anger. Low key can see a flame.

He grabbed my arm hardly and pulled me to him.

"I know you did. I'm not stupid Leilani." He says with a deep angry voice. My breath hitches and fear washed over me.

If I wasn't sure Luke changed before, I am now.

"Yo What are you doing?!" I heard someone say from behind me. I couldn't look away from him. I was too scared. Then someone pushed him away from me.

I had to breathe slowly before I had a panic attack.

I walked away and rushed to my math class.
Something I never thought I would do.

"Okay class, we are having our test on Pythagorean Theorem." My teacher told us.
I said a quick prayer and she passed out the tests, along with some scratch paper.

I looked at the number of questions as sighed. Then I looked at the actual questions and they were easy.

"I got this." I whispered to myself.

I did the test and we passed our papers to someone else. As we were grading I felt worry come over me.
You got it. You got it. Don't worry.

A girl passed me my paper and my face lit up. I had to wipe my eyes to make sure it was right.

The bell rand and I went out of class happy.

"Leilani?" I hear someone ask I turn around to see Sierra I smiled at her and showed her my paper.

"In Yo face lil girl!" I say to her. She huffs and walks away.
