Kobe's POV

They let me out to use the bathroom and to take a shower. They only allow that once a week. Imagine holding your poop in for a week.

When I got in the hot shower my skin burned causing me to groan in pain.
I took my shower and looked at the clothes that were provided. This stuff looks ugly.

I hopped out the shower and wrapped my towel around my waist. I stood in front of the mirror and brushed my teeth.

One thing I never do is look at myself. I'm disgusted with myself. I haven't seen my reflection in months.
But this time I slipped up.
I glanced at myself and I couldn't look away.

All the scars on my chest and stomach. All the cuts on my arms and wrists.
Yeah I tried it. But that's another story for another time.
The bruises on my face. But nothing, Nothing, is worse than how I feel when I think about what happened.

I looked away and I could finally breathe. I hate the way I look. I'm so damaged.

My phone buzzed and I forgot that it's about to die. I looked everywhere and I finally found a charger. I always keep a charger in my bathroom too. So maybe somebody lives in this house. Because no nigga just gone have a charger in the bathroom.

I got dressed and put my stuff in the hamper. I put on deodorant and walked out. It was a guard waiting for me. He grabbed my arm and pulled me back to the room. He pushed me in and locked the door. Brandon took a shower before me so he was fresh too.

"I hate these clothes." He muttered. I nodded my head and went back to my spot. I looked behind me and saw a plug. I plugged up the charger and then my phone. It was charging too. I smiled then my smile faded when I saw the picture of me and Leilani on my lock screen.

I decided to call her.

She answered on the first ring.

Leilani: are you okay?
Me: no. But I'll be fine I guess.
Leilani: I thought your phone was about to die.
Me: I found a charger.
Leilani: good I'll tell my mom.
Me: Leilani, can you promise me something.
Leilani: um yeah.
Me: even if I don't get out of here, I'll make sure Xavier does. When I do, can you make sure he doesn't get into trouble. Because I know my mom will be devastated. He will too, which might cause him to act up. Just make sure he knows that I did it for him.
Leilani: I promise I will.
Me: thank you.
Leilani: can you promise me something?
Me: sure.
Leilani: promise me you won't give up hope. Promise me that you'll always pray and believe that we will get you out of there.
Me: I promise.
Leilani: okay, well I have to go, Jake is calling me.
Me: okay, be safe.
Leilani: I will, you be safe more.
Me: I will *chuckles*
Leilani: Bye
Me: Bye.

"Y'all cute." Brandon says.
I kept a straight face.

"She has a boyfriend." I say simply.

"Ah hell. That's too bad. I shipped y'all." He says. I smile lightly.

"Goodnight bro" Brandon says.
This not a good night. Anything but good. But he doesn't know what happened.

"Night." I reply.
I laid my head down and tried to sleep.

I finally nodded off.
