Leilani's POV
(1 week later)

"I told you the week would go by fast. Now you're leaving and I'm gonna be all alone again."

"At least I got to spend time with you."

"I guess."

"You guess?" Luke asked as he pulled away from the hug we were sharing. I laughed lightly and shrugged.

"Flight to Chicago boards now"

"Okay go! Don't miss your flight." I tell Luke as I push him away from me.

He pulls me to him and squeezes me, lifting me off of the ground a little.

"Love you." He told me as he put me down and grabbed his suitcase.

"Love you too." I smiled at him. He smiled back and then he walked away.

Letting out a sad sigh, I made my way back through the airport and found my mom.

"You okay?" She asked as we headed to the car. I nodded.

(At home 8 hours later 6pm)

Incoming FaceTime Call From James

I didn't want to answer it, but if I didn't we'd have problems, and that's the last thing I need, considering situations I've been in before with him.

"Hey" I say nervously after I answered the call.

"Hey babe." He responded with a smile.
I hate that. I'm not his babe, or his baby.

"Whatcha doing?" He asked. I shrugged.

"Nothing." I reply. He smiled wider.

"You wanna go to the movies?" He asked me.
Not with you.

"Alone?" I ask him. He nods with a smirk.
I can literally throw up.
It's not because James is ugly, because he ain't. Kid is fine as heck. But he's a creep.

"Look," I started. He gave me a confused look.

"We're not together. I know you think we are, but we aren't. Okay?" I ask him.
He chuckled bitterly.

"Leilani, I really like you. I want this to work." He told me softly.

If I didn't hear Luke's voice in the back of my head, I would've gave in. But I kept hearing him.

He's trouble Leilani.
He's a drug dealer.
He will hurt you.

"No James. I can't." I respond. He gives me a sad look and I had to look away.

"Can we still be friends?" He asked me.
We can I guess.

Leilani, leave him alone.

"I don't think so, I'm sorry." I tell him. He sighs and nods.

"Aight." He says.
