Luke's POV

"I'm in Atlanta."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I'm at my moms but I wanna see you."

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"Because I'm not at home and I don't know when I'll be coming back."

"What do you mean?"

"Kobe left the house and he was gone for three days. I went out to try and find him yesterday and I did. But he doesn't want to go back home."

"What does that have to do with you? If you want to go home then go home."

"I don't want to lose him."

"I don't want to lose you."

"Leilani,"

"Luke, I can send you the address."

"Of what?"

"It's a doctors house. That's where I am. When you get here, I have a surprise for you."

"Okay. I'm coming now so send the address."

"Okay."

"Bye love you."

"Love you too."

(1 hour later)

"Oh my God"
My jaw hung open as I stared at Leilani.

"How in the world?" I ask her.
She smiled and walked to me.

"Doctor Seth did a surgery on me. It's a long wire down the middle of my back, it kind of restarted me. So I'm back to normal." She told me.

"Can I see?" I ask her.
She turned around and lofted her shirt up.

"Is that a tattoo?" I ask her.

"Yep. It's pretty isn't it?" She asks as she turns back around.

"Yeah."

As I stared into her eyes, I could feel myself falling again.

"Why are you staring at me pookey?" She asked me as she hugged me.

Because I'm in love with you and I need you.
Also because I'm high as hell and I took two pills that my homeboy gave me, and I don't even know what they were.

"Because you're walking. Like you're standing up. I'm face to face with you." I tell her with a light laugh as I hugged her back.

"I know, it's crazy." She mumbled.
She let me go and I just stared at her.

"You wanna see Kobe?" She asks me.

"Sure."
I haven't really talked to Kobe since we were bullying Leilani.

That was the only time we were even close to being friends.
