1 Month

Leilani's POV

I didn't do too much. I just put on a red half shirt and my grey stretchy jeans. I put on some red converses. I put my hair in two braids, and I laid my baby hairs and I got my book bag and went downstairs.

"You look pretty. What's the special occasion?" Juli asked me as I grabbed a cereal bar.

"1 month." I tell her. She thinks then her face lights up.

"Awwwwww y'all are so cute." She says. I laugh and run out the house. I go to the bus stop and I waited impatiently. I was so exited I was literally dancing to Ariana and I didn't notice the bus had pull up. I had in my headphones and I heard a loud horn causing me to jump. I looked up and the kids were laughing. I didn't care though. I was too happy.

When we got to the school I saw the boys outside. I ran up to them and I clapped my hands. Jake smiled and Nick and Patrick looked at me like I was crazy.

I hugged Jake tightly.

"Hi!" I say cheesing at him. He smiled warmly.

"Hey princess." I love that nickname it's totes adorbs.

"Okay here is your first gift." I say handing him the box that contained the Rolex.

He took it with a smile and opened it. His eyes lit up and he smiled so big.

"Oh my God! Leilani, this is real." He said taking it out the box and giving it to Nick. I put it on for him and he hugged me.

"Thank you so much" He said kissing me cheek.

"Mhm" I say. He puts his arm down after staring at it.

"What's it for?" He asked me. I froze then laughed. He can't be serious.

"That's not funny Jake." I say with a smile and shaking my head. He had a blank face.
Either he's a good liar, or he actually forgot.

"You're serious?" I ask him.
He raises an eyebrow.

My heart broke a little and I felt a tear fall down my face.

"You really forgot?" I ask him, hoping he would say "no. Of course not." But he did. He really forgot. He had a confused look on his face. I shook my head and ran into the school.

Jakes POV

"I'm so confused." I say turning to Nick and Patrick. They shrugged.

"It's not my birthday, and it's not hers." I say thinking out loud.

I hear a slap and I looked up. Nick and Patrick face planted themselves.

"Isn't it y'all one month or something." Patrick said.

I dropped my head and guilt rushed over me.

I ran into the school after her and I looked for her. I went to her locker and she wasn't there. I then looked around and I saw her come out of the restroom.

I ran up to her. She looked up at me and sniffles. I pulled her to a nearby bench.

"I'm sorry I forgot." I say to her. She nods her head but I could tell it hurt her.
