Em POV:
"Simon, you did what?" I half laughed, half seriously questioned.
"Yup. I got a bouncy castle in the back garden." He told me triumphantly through my phone screen.
"You're mad." I shook my head, my words muffled because I was finishing my protein bar.
"So, fancy coming round and filming a few football videos with us?" He asked.
"Yeah, sure. When?"
"Like, as soon as you can, but no rush."
"Huh?"
"Em, you know what I mean!" Simon chuckled. "Just, when you're ready. Twelve o'clock would be perfect." He elaborated.
"Okay, sure. I'll see you later." I bid him goodbye.
"In a bit." The line went dead. After getting dressed, I applied a small amount of foundation to my face, to both protect my face slightly from the sun, and because I knew that I'd be in front of the camera. My brows were freshly tinted, so no need to do anything with those, but after a swipe of contour and highlight and a brush of mascara, I was done.
Incoming call: Tobi
"What's up, Tobi?" I greeted, balancing my phone between my cheek and my shoulder.
"Do you want a lift?" He asked immediately.
"I mean, I don't need one, but if you want company then I'll be knocking at your door in five." I grabbed a box of Capri Sun's from my fridge.
"You're coming with me. Otherwise, I'll be so early, and end up just sitting there while Si, Ethan, Kon and Josh finish working out." Tobi insisted.
"Cool. Hey, you know Manny's bringing chilli chin chin?"
"Fuck. Off. I love that stuff!" I exclaimed, slipping on my favourite pair of Yeezys.I own a few different ones, okay. Like I said earlier, shoe addiction.
"He's got a bucket of it that Mum made."
"I'll eat it every last crumb." I opened my front door, turning around to lock up.
"Not if I eat it before you do." Tobi challenged.
"Sure, we'll see about that."
"Fight me." He laughed a little as I knocked on his door.As he opened it, I took a swing for him as a joke, however I ended up giving him a fright.
"Rah, man, calm." Tobi edged backwards, seeing him end the call now that the pair of us were face to face.
"Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" I bit my lip apologetically, however trying to hold in my laughter.
"Don't worry about it." He chuckled. "Come on, we gotta stop off at the warehouse before we get to the house. Kill some time, you know what I'm saying?"
"Yeah, dude. Let's go." And so I hailed the elevator once again to take us to the ground floor.-
"BEHZ!" I saw Ethan walk out into the garden just as I kicked the ball. I ignored the fact that I had just hit top bins, and pegged it over to him to give him a massive hug.
"EMMY! HI!" He laughed uncontrollably.
"Ew, you're sweaty." I pointed out, pulling a face.
"Yeah, sorry. Been working out, you know." He looked over my shoulder at Tobi's camera. "GAINS, MATE!" He yelled, tensing his arms.Sarcastically, I tilted my head to one side and furrowed my eyebrows.
"Where?" I questioned. Immediately, I heard Deji burst into laughter.
"Shut up, alright!" Ethan chuckled.
"I'm kidding, man. Don't worry." I rested a hand on his shoulder, my face looking at the ground; a smile on my face."So, what are we filming again?" Josh asked.
"Football...?" Manny offered, shrugging.
"We're gunna put the goal in the bouncy castle and we try and score penalties." Simon explained.
"Oh, cool." I nodded, sitting on the floor, Capri Sun in hand. "Where's Jide?"
"Boxing camp." Simon answered, fiddling with his camera.
"Okay." I jumped up suddenly; receiving an urge to go and jump the shit out of the bouncy castle."Give us a backflip!" Tobi yelled. And so I did.
"OOOOHHHHHH!" Deji, Simon, Josh, Tobi, Manny and Kon shouted as I landed perfectly on my feet.
"Oi, you gotta teach me how to do that." Deji joined me.
"Bro, there's no way. You're like a baby elephant!" I earned more laughs.
"Fuck off, Em." He gave me the middle finger. "It can't be that hard, surely.""Go on, then." Simon called.
"Show us what you've got!" Josh chuckled.
"Alright." Deji stuck his nose in the air; overconfident as he always is. He jumped three times, eventually happy with the height he was getting, and then flung his head forward, not making any effort to make his legs come over too. Suffice to say, he landed less gracefully than I did.Fail.
Everyone was creasing.
"What was that?" I giggled.
"Let me have another go..." Deji insisted. And thus, our afternoon consisted of football games, fun on the bouncy castle, multiple games of table tennis, and most importantly, the consumption of the chin chin that Manny and Tobi's mum made, and all 24 Capri Suns that I brought.
What?
They're the best drink out there.
