Simon POV:

I drove both as safely, and as fast as I could to London Hospital. Over and over in my head I repeated that Em would make it through. I told myself that she'd be okay. I fucking manifested it - I just wanted her to live so that she could understand me, accept my apology, and feel happiness again.

She can't die. She's the glue. She's the glue that holds everybody together. The Sidemen, the other lads, the fans, the girls, the YouTube community...

Em had such a definite place in our lives.

The sad thing is, we didn't even notice that until now.

I refused to let myself let all of those childhood memories come flooding back to me. How JJ and I would tease her, help her walk after a particularly strong round of chemo, help make her food. She'd always beat us at Mariokart. She was amazing at that.

She was amazing at so many other things, too.

Football, coming up with unique video ideas, being creative, making people smile. She had the biggest little heart I've ever come across in a person. All she wanted to do was make people happy.

If she died, then how would anyone in her life be happy again?

Josh (Zerker) POV:

Vik had messaged the people closest to Em about what was going on. The rest of us just waited.

It was all extremely surreal. Not one of us knew what would happen to her. We were all helpless, too. Nobody but the surgeons and nurses in the hospital had the power to save her.

Em is a very, very special person. She's never, ever let anything hold her back from doing what she wants to. Any task, challenge or hurdle that life puts in front of her, she will complete it. She might be ridiculously stubborn, but it pays off.

She's kind, she's loving, she's supportive... She's just Em. She's everybody's little sister, not just JJ's.

Ethan POV:

"Bro, stop recording." I said, reading my phone.

Vik has texted, and this was bad news.

"What do you mean, stop recording, bruv?" Tobi jogged over to me.
"You good, man?" Harry called.

I was at the football pitch filming a video with the boys; Tobi, Harry, Freezy and Manny.

"We need to leave, now." I told them. "Emmy's gone to A&E."
"WHAT?" Everybody seemed to say.
"Check your phones." I instructed.

"Wait, I don't have my phone. What's happened?" Cal walked over.
"She's had a cardiac arrest." Harry read, "Fucking hell." He put a hand over his mouth.
"What can we do?" Manny asked, looking shaken.
"I'm calling Vik." I muttered.

"Hello?" Vik picked up within two rings.
"Hi mate, what the fuck is going on?" I pressed a hand to my forehead, putting my phone on speaker so everyone could hear.
"Em's having a cardiac arrest because her pacemaker's failed. Deji found her passed out on her floor in her apartment and called an ambulance for her straight away. JJ and Simon have just left to accompany Deji in A&E - there's only three people allowed down at once. The rest of us are here with Florence and Ebony–"

"What are they doing at the Sidemen House?" Cal butted in.
"Shut up, bro." Tobi elbowed him in the ribs.
"Who are you with?"
"Tobi, Harry, Manny and Cal."
"Which Cal?" Vik questioned.
"Freezy, why do you need to know that?"
