Hold on to the last,
The feelings of the past.
Nostalgic hoping,
Eaten away too fast.
Hold my hand for what will be,
Ambiance between you and me.
We can't see the murky future,
But all of us can agree.
We're not learning,
Our future's burning.
We hold on to hope,
But our fears are turning.
Like a beast we have made,
Unalarming in the shade.
But when it steps into the light,
We'll all be forced to fight.
We fight for our humanity,
Through our own insanity.
We will lose if we don't halt,
And see that we're the ones at fault.
It's wartime now,
As it has been forever.
Please tell me how,
Did murder get so clever?
It's our imperfect wills to kill,
We send our brothers to the never.
But even worse still,
Have our ties to us been severed?
Can we see the destruction,
That's before our eyes?
This hellistic eruption,
Can it be our demise?
I can't see what is coming,
But I know what is here.
The death on our hands, thrumming.
Creating a world of fear.
