A poem I wrote in the midst of the revelry after America caught Bin Laden. We literally cheered for death... It makes me so sad that the world is this way...
The king is dead,
Long live the king.
The sand's running red,
America's desert fling.
Defend nobody,
Death in a hurry.
We paint the walls bloody,
With bullets in flurries.
Is it over now,
With the death of a villain?
We don't know how,
To stop all this killin.
It's like an addiction,
Red crack for us.
An undefined mission,
But no one makes a fuss.
The real reason we're there,
Is to capitalize.
A nation's needs laid bare,
To a congress of blind eyes.
We have to expand,
We're overpopulated.
So we claim another's land,
And say all the death was fated.
It doesn't matter,
If we don't stop to listen.
This country's a ladder,
But the bottom rungs are missin.
How can we climb,
When they take our ability?
Time after time,
We see the government's,
Lack of humility.
They don't see it's wrong,
To kill our brothers.
They treat humans like pawns,
Replace one for another.
We need to pay attention,
Listen to what they're sayin.
All the resources they're pinchin,
Leaves the rest of us payin.
They're hoarding it all,
The power and the money.
The politics they're playin,
Already led to a nation's fall,
We forgot about Rome,
Ain't this drama funny?
We should learn from the past,
No matter how far off.
No one nation will last,
If their leaders just scoff.
They laugh at our ideals,
And lead us to drink the pond.
Like none of us are real,
Just meant to be conned.
All I know is this,
We must stop this spiral.
Or freedom's eternal bliss,
Will be made viral,
Beating us like a fist...
