Sadness is a battering ram,

Breaking the walls of our soul.

A convoluted shattering sham,

There to take it's toll.

A shrieking horrid squall,

Of rotten hope in limbo.

Taking pieces from us all,

To stop production of our show.

The show of life is sad,

We won't accept our tragedy.

Like being happy is a fad,

No longer there to hear your pleas.

Sadness is not weak,

However you feel the pain.

Like an infinite mountain peak,

Getting over is endless strain.

We must overcome our grief,

If we're to live our lives to full.

Don't let sadness be a thief,

Taking contentment that you culled.

Our lowest of lows,

Will always be there.

We mustn't keep it stowed,

Let it all be bared.

For holding it in,

Just adds to all our woes.

An unrequited sin,

Like pecking, biting crows.

If we can't get over it,

It will eat at our souls.

Need to show our grit,

Don't let sadness take your goals.
