An intense pretense with,
Past-tense implications.
The world is judged,
By the state of the nation.
The state of the Union,
A fork-tongued address.
Anti-christ behind a podium,
Creates tension and stress.
Terror and strife,
Clawing up from the depths.
With a wink and a lie,
Millions sent to thier deaths.
Away from thier families,
Across the seven seas.
Hardened soldiers,
Grow weak at the knees.
We're chasing one man,
With intent to kill.
Instead we kill hundreds,
Just to get our fill.
Leaving entire nations,
To fend for themselves.
A new dictator rises,
With ringing funeral bells.
