"Riding To Restitution"

Instilling inspiration,

Revealing revelation.

Sensing my sin,

Hinting again.

Showing my pride,

Is what has lied.

It's underneath,

Making me weak.

Beating at my thoughts,

Retreating, I am caught.

I look into the sky,

And wish that I could fly.

Wish that I could see,

What life wants me to be.

Wish that I could take,

Away my people's hate.

Wish that I could ask,

To be set upon the task.

Wish that I could hold,

You through the winter's cold.

Look inside of me,

And see what I could be.

A man so caring,

Made to stop the glaring.

Made to make us see,

We were made to be free.

Created with a heart,

So good that it is stark.

In a world full of dark,

I was made to leave a mark.

I was made to bring us light,

So our children don't have to fight.

So the new generation,

Can love with no hesitation.

We can see each other,

Inside of all our brothers.

But we refuse the similarity,

Refuse to simply care with me.

Take the differences,

And push them aside.

Take away our life long sentences,

And just enjoy the ride...
