Heartbreaking hearing,

Starts making fearing.

In a world where all I hear,

Is the hateful thoughts that we hold dear,

Can I rise above the crowd,

And sing my love out so loud?

I wish I had the strength,

To take all of the pain.

I'd go to any lengths,

To have love within our brains.

But in order to help,

I must first help myself.

I must first find the wealth,

To gain spiritual health.

I must find my inner peace,

Waiting for my thoughts' release.

I am sick of being leashed,

To things that matter least.

To harness the flow,

Of the universe's cold,

To know where to go,

And be bolder than bold.

This is my dream,

To find enlightenment.

If it's all that it seems,

I will know true consciousness.

I will know that all,

Is connected to one.

All things are the same,

None of us are shunned.

We are all made of stars,

From nothing to something.

We think we've come far,

But still we are hunting.

We're looking for truth,

Though it's inside us all.

We're all aloof,

To our soul's heeding call.

If prayer is talking to god,

Meditation is his response.

We can't continue to be robbed,

Of what our souls truly want.

Freedom and understanding,

The basics of life.

No more demanding,

No more pain and strife.

No more waking up,

Afraid of ourselves.

We're all making up,

What we think is our wealth.

But to know the secrets,

The meaning to exist.

If we could just see this,

We would rise up from the mist,

And cry out for knowledge...
