A poem about the evil inside us all...
A beast from inside,
It cannot hide.
It doesn't try,
I don't know why.
It moves along the shadow,
Darkest light so shallow.
A flash of limbs among the black,
When will it finally attack?
I'm waiting for it's teeth,
To be removed from their sheath.
Don't want to be around,
When my bones are being ground.
Shallowly shaping the shore,
It needs to feed more and more.
It's a disgusting eyesore,
Pure evil to the core.
Fangs that bite,
And claws that rip.
I cannot fight,
I'm losing my grip.
It lunges at me now,
I'm wondering how,
I became a victim to this,
Another body on the list.
But as it nears I see,
It's a mirror showing me.
I can see myself there,
But my eyes do not care.
In a moment of clarity,
I realize the truth.
The true enemies aren't there to see,
They're inside all of you.
Their bestial motions,
A fear riddled quotient.
Their light killing ways,
Taking our days.
We created these,
Creatures of fear.
Now our sobbing pleas,
Bring them ever near.
Death dealers,
Breath stealers.
Ending Elation,
Defending our station.
We ripped our hearts out long ago,
In the cold darkness of snow.
It just goes to show,
That we are our only foe.
