Halloween is my favorite holiday. I wrote this one last Halloween, to celebrate the Day Of The Dead!!

Plotting a death,

Cold rotting breath.

It breaks from the ground,

With a chuckling sound.

Skinless hands,

Reaching and grasping.

Blood clotted lands,

Bleached everlasting.

Ghouls are rising from this earth,

It seems that death is giving birth.

Insanity devoid of mirth,

Taking all that we are worth.

They're coming down,

On top of us.

Their bloody frowns,

Are full of pus.

Breathing in decayed remains,

Questioning if I am sane.

Their teeth are closing,

Too weak to keep going,

My panic is growing,

And free will is going,

Away.

The dead rise this day,

And come for blood.

A human monster fray,

Insanity in floods.

Witches and wizards,

Alight the sky.

Overgrown lizards,

Almost seem to fly.

The day of the dead,

Is here at last.

Bringing us dread,

From a checkered past.

The beasts that hide inside our minds,

Are here this day of deadly tales.

To feasts they ride and what they find,

Living blood and flesh gone stale.

The boogeyman rules the land,

For a single day of terror.

His cold and everlasting hand,

Is this dead world's pallbearer...
