The Young Avengers: Not Kids Anymore [2]

-13 days since Peter vanished-

"You're planning on what exactly?" Miles asks.

Emma had summoned her friends to her apartment, handing Ned an extra key. Emma had a small bag packed, and her suit in the bag as well.

"Going to get Peter back." Emma said.

Cindy frowns, "I thought Tony said no?"

"Things change." Emma said.

Ned frowns, "But isn't it dangerous?"

She nods.

Miles steps forward, "Let me come with." He said determined.

Cindy nods, "Me- Me too!"

Emma shakes her head, "I can't allow that. Someone needs to look after the little guy and that's where you two come in." Emma said.

"But Emma-," Miles starts.

Emma placed a hand on his shoulder, "Its not your time, yet. You'll have your moment but until then, I want you and Cindy to remain lower to the ground."

Miles sighs, "Fine."

Cindy nods, "Alright."

Emma turns to Ned and MJ, "You two will keep an eye on them."

Ned nods, "I'll do my part as the chair man."

MJ nods as well, "I'll make sure they don't kill each other." She said.

Emma smiles and then had a single tear slide down her face, "Look. I- I promise somehow, someway, I'll bring Peter back."

And just then, MJ hugs Emma first. Then Ned joins, and then Cindy, and lastly Miles. The group hug lasted for a few minutes before they parted.

"How long will you be gone?" Ned asks.

"As long as it takes," Emma said, "But hopefully not the entire break."

Miles looks at her, "Good luck, Sparks." He grins.

"You too, Spider-Boy." She smiles.

Emma walked in the direction of the court yard of the compound, in the rather large court yard was a spaceship. The ship was black and looked rather high tech, so Emma could only assume that Tony with the help of Bruce and maybe Rocket built this while she was away.

Emma adjusted her strap on her bag and walked over. Tony was saying goodbye to Pepper, giving his girl a hug and a kiss goodbye.

Emma glanced back at the two and then walked up the ramp to the ship. When she got up on the ship, she noticed Natasha in one of the pilot seats, Bruce sat behind her, and Steve stood by her seats looking at the controls.
