-14 days since Peter vanished-

After attempting to sleep, Emma decided to give up and try to read from one of the books she brought with on the trip. It didn't help the matter she'd have Loki rattling around in her head.

Emma wore her glasses as she read. She was chewing on her thumb nail as she was reading the page she was on.

"What is it you are reading?"

Emma rolls her eyes. Loki speaking to her yet again, after she had ignored him hours prior.

"None of your business." Emma spoke.

Now if anyone entered the room where they ate, wouldn't call it a kitchen but it was kind of like that, someone would clearly think Emma was crazy unless that person was Steve and knew Loki was still in her head.

"Come on now, love. I am just curious. I fancy a good book."

Emma raised her eyebrow, "The God of Mischief interested in reading?"

"Oh come now. I am not nearly as well built as my large oaf of a brother. I spent time with my books and my magic."

Emma flipped the page, "Same."

"Pardon?"

Emma closed the book, "I may not have possessed magic but- I have my own curse. My powers that were given to me without my consent. When I was young- I isolated myself in order to keep others safe and I kept to myself and all the books I could get my hands on."

"So we aren't so different after all."

Emma holds onto the book, "I guess so."

"The only thing that would be perfect if we both shared daddy issues."

There was a pause. Hesitation in Emma's part. Despite not visually seeing Loki, she knew he caught on to that long pause and was probably smiling.

"So you have daddy issues, interesting."

Emma frowns, "At least the man who raised me was in fact my father."

"Touche, but did your father try to kill you? I know Odin would've loved me dead after what happened on Midgard."

Emma leaned forward in her seat, standing up and placing the book on a table. She leaned her back against the wall.

"You honestly think your father would wish you to be dead?" Emma asks.

"Of course. He in fact said my birthright was to die."

Emma frowns.

"What of your father?"

"What about mine?" Emma asks.

"Clearly there is something he did to you that has your troubled."
