The Young Avengers: Not Kids Anymore [2]

-Aftermath-

When everything was said and done, the mayor had an entire ceremony in celebration of Static, Spider-Man, Red Spider, and Silk. So many people arrived, including MJ and Ned. They were cheering from the crowd with such pride in their eyes. Also, there was Tony Stark with Pepper, and May Parker. The three were cheering for their kids on.

The mayor had awarded each of the four heroes a medal, usually he'd award someone with a key to the city, but he thought a medal signifying how brave they have been in dangerous situations.

There was so many photographers, snapping photos. New networks trying to get a question in with the mayor or even any of the four heroes.

After the events of the weekend, school rolled back like usual. The year was nearly over meaning the teenager's sophomore year was nearly complete. However, as much as they'd hope everything would return to normal that Monday morning, everyone talked about Norman Osborn.

"I cannot believe it was Harry's dad," A student's voice said.

Another whispered, "I heard he actually killed someone- during one of his attacks as the Green Goblin."

And just then Harry began to walk down the hallway.

"Oh my god," A football player spoke to another one in the hall, "I'm surprised he even showed."

"Yeah the son of a criminal showing his face here." Another football player spoke.

People began to look at Harry differently, and it didn't help that Harry became a more angry and violent person. He'd start fights with random students who were bigger and older than him.

Harry was at his locker. He was getting his text books out. Emma had begun to feel bad, she had been there with her own father being arrested and she didn't let the angry consume her.

"Harry," Emma stepped over, "Harry- I know this must be hard but-."

Harry slams his locker shut, "Just leave me the hell alone, Emma!" He yells.

Emma gasped in utter shock. Harry had his fist resting on his locker door. His gaze slowly met hers, he saw the sad expression in her eyes but Harry didn't care.

Then the two football players jumped in. They were being Emma's knights in shinning armor, but everyone in the school knew Emma didn't need saving.

"Don't be an ass, Osborn." One football player said.

"Yeah she was trying to be nice," The other said.

Harry glares, "I don't want pity," He then shoves one of them.

To which the other shoves Harry back. The two football players begin to lay Harry out, as the fight went on, Emma tried to grab Harry off of the football players.
