-Next Day-Emma arrived at school the next day, she was asked my Tony if she really wanted to be there that Thursday morning. However, convinced him she needed the distraction and needed a bit of normality in her life.
She walked to her locker and saw Cindy, Miles, Ned, MJ, and Peter waiting for her. A small smile left her lips as she saw her friends and boyfriend.
"Guys, I'm fine." She said, "I'm gonna see the shrink after school so no study date tonight."
Peter reaches over to hold her hand, "You'll be missed, but you need to get better." He said.
Emma nods, "I know, I know. I guess I just felt like with all that crap we've been through that I could handle everything."
MJ looks at her, "You're only human, girl."
Ned turn to MJ, "Technically inhuman." He said.
Emma smirks as she begins to open her locker. She hears MJ and Peter telling Ned to keep it down about being inhumans, that is until Miles had a thought.
Miles had decided to bring it up since there wasn't many students in the school and the ones there were far away from their group.
"Um- how long had you been able to go all yellow lightning all over you and glowing yellow eyes?" Miles asks.
Emma thought about it, "Uh- well it just happened," She said as she grabbed her text book, "My lightning wasn't always yellow."
Cindy looks at her confused, "What?" She asks.
Emma nods as she shuts her locker, "It's true." Emma said.
Peter holds onto her hand, "It was blue before- but then it just became yellow, I honestly don't remember when." He said.
Miles then goes, "So it just happened randomly?"
Emma nods, "Yeah, that and flying- I never could do that before." She said.
MJ glanced at Emma, "Do you think that because your powers were genetically created that your body is adapting to it- or your DNA is mutated to the point new abilities are being summoned." MJ spoke.
Emma frowns, "It's a possibility, MJ. I mean- I don't know how much you remember from the attack by Henderson,"
"Not much really," Miles said.
Peter nods.
Cindy rubs the back of her neck, "There are some blanks."
"Well when I made that- that electric burst something happened, my lightning was no longer yellow." She said, "And I believe neither were my eyes."
"What?" Ned asks.
"Emma, does Tony know?" Peter asks.
Emma nods, "I told him last night- which is part of him wanting me to stay home. He wanted to poke and test every cell in my body to see what is going on." She said.
