-9 days since Peter vanished-

It was Wednesday, and that meant only two more days until the weekend. Which is something Emma likes, weekends means more time for patrol.

As Emma reached her locker that morning, she was greeted with the one and only Harry Osborn. He seemed to be leaning against the locker next to her locker, his head tilted in her direction with his smile on his face.

"Morning lab partner," He says.

Emma nods, "Morning," She opens the locker to grab her books.

"So how was your study group?" Harry asks.

Emma glanced at him, "It went well," She said, "Why do you ask?"

Harry shrugs, "Just curious is all. I spent all night in my penthouse because my father had found out my algebra grade was a D+." He said.

Emma shrugs her shoulders as she grabs her chemistry text book, "Sucks you for." She said and then closed her locker.

"Think I could- uh join your study group, you know to improve my grade?" Harry asks.

Emma frowns. Harry wasn't a terrible person and she didn't want to be rude, but clearly he didn't seem to get a hint.

"You have friends, no offense, why don't you ask them?" Emma asks gesturing in the direction of the guys Harry has talked to.

Harry glanced at them, "Who those meatheads? They wouldn't know how to solve for x to save their lives." He said.

Emma pushes by, "Well find a tutor, Harry." She said.

Harry pushes as he follows, "You be my tutor." He said.

Emma turns to him, "I have a lot going on right now," She said, "I can't be someone's tutor."

"What's going on?" He asks.

Emma glances at the sign for the decathlon sign up sheets. An idea struck her head the second she saw them and then turns to Harry.

"With my after school study group, my internship with my legal guardian, and the Academic Decathlon, my schedule is full." Emma said.

Lying, perfect. Something Emma was familiar with. However, she was so convincing, Harry just nodded as an understanding.

"Sorry," He looked sorry, "I came on too strong. I should back off."

Emma looks at him, "It's just- there's a lot going on right now."

He nods, "Right. Right."

Harry then walks off. Emma sighs a sigh of relief but doesn't completely relax, she turns around to see Cindy and MJ by their lockers. Emma sprinted over to the girls.

"Okay, can I join the decathlon?" Emma asks.

"Finally!" Cindy smiles, "I've been waiting for this day!"
