The Young Avengers: Not Kids Anymore [2]

-First patrol since Green Goblin encounter-

Emma, Miles, Peter, and Cindy stood on top of a building. Each of them in their super gear, however none were wearing their masks since no one was around and it was just the four of them.

"Think that freak Green Goblin will show up again?" Miles asks as he sat on the edge.

Emma cross her arms on her chest, "I don't know." She frowns.

Peter looks at his girlfriend, "It's been a long day," He starts, "We've stopped a few gang bangers and even helped a little girl get her cat out of a tree. Maybe let's call it a day."

Cindy stands up from sitting on the ground, "Yeah maybe we should call it a night." She crosses her arms on her chest, "I mean we've been out later than usual in case the Green Goblin would show himself."

Emma looks from her teammates to the direction of the sun now setting. It was getting late. Emma sighs and then turns back to her friends.

"Fine we-," She was cut off.

"Guys, I just spotted the Goblin heading to Stark Industries!"  It was Ned's voice in the earpiece.

Emma touched her earring, "Mask Online!" She then ran to the edge, "We're on our way, Ned."

And like that, the spiders all put on their masks and ran off toward the edge like Emma. Whereas, she was flying, the spiders were swinging from building to building with their webs.

The team landed in front of the building. When they arrived they saw people running and screaming out of the building.

"What is going on?" Emma asks one of the employee running out.

"Someone is attacking!" The employee yells and ran off.

Emma turns to her friends, "Go. Our first priority is the safety of the people, but if anyone gets to the Goblin, make sure he is taken away from people here."

Everyone nods and enters the building. They all split up in different directions, and was doing exactly what Emma had said. Getting the people out was the main concern.

Emma busted down a door on the fifth floor, seeing people hiding under their desks. That is when Emma saw him. The Green Goblin holding an employee by the collar of his shirt.

"Hey!" Emma yells, "Put him down!"

The Goblin turns to her and then drops the man onto the ground with a loud thud. He groans but begins to pull away as he tried to escape.

The Green Goblin fully faces Emma with a grin. He was not on his hover board like their first meeting.

"I'm going to only say this once," Emma started, "Surrender and no one will get hurt."
