The air was still.... I couldn't feel much of anything, my whole head was numb and my body was heavy. The surface I was on was soft and warm. Warmth was all around me and humidity clung to my lungs. I felt like heavy coins were resting over my eyes but I forced them open slowly with a groan. I could barely see anything.

"Your awake!" It was Lusts voice. Sadly it stung my ears. I cringed.

"Wh-what... happened." My voice was groggy and low. I could hear it was slurred due to my face being numb. I tried to move but I couldn't get my body to listen to me.

"Well you went demon crazy and Lucy had to snap your horns off, you passed out. That was two days ago." I closed my eyes. What is she talking about.

"The last thing I remember is sitting down in the chairs on the roof. The rest is a bit blurry.." I tried to drag the memories back but only brought up a headache.

"Lucy said you were farther along then she had ever seem. She should be back shortly." Lust leaned back in the chair she was sitting in. I actually remembered to look around the room. It was simple and plain with maybe a few decorations but the medical supplies on the wall helped me figure out where I was.

"When did I get to the ward? I was out for two days?" My body was becoming less heavy but my whole head was still numb. I felt pressure around my head.

"When you blacked out you almost instantly went back to normal. Lucy still seemed really worried and picked you up and started sprinting for the elevator. We followed her here and found that she was worried about your body temperature and the fact your head was bleeding."

"What was my body temperature?"

"By the time greed and I arrived it was 130 something. Way above a normal persons but I guess it's low for some demons. I guess I don't know much about actual demons." My mind was overwhelmed. I couldn't read into what she was saying.

"Okay..." I croaked out a reply and heard the door open.

"Ah it's good to see you doing well Lust." It was the voice of a female. Unfamiliar. There were two sets of footsteps.

"Hello, he woke up Lucy." Lust addressed both of the people who had entered. I flashed my eyes open to see a worried Lucy and a nurse standing near the door.

"How you feeling bud?" Lucy spoke softly. I groaned in reply.

"My head is numb..."

"Well we numbed the areas where the skin was torn when the stitches were put in because we were unsure if you were unconscious or simply unresponsive." The nurse walked to me and started doing things on the other side of the bed. I looked down at my arms to see an IV line and a heart rate clamp over my finger. I cringed a bit at the sight.

"Stitches?"

"Yes, you had two large wounds on the sides of your head." Lucy responded for the nurse and looked at me with a mom look. I swallowed hard. The nurse stoped what she was doing and I saw her toss an empty IV bag into a medical waist bin.

"You should let him sleep to help speed up the recovery. I'm sure you two have important places to be." The nurse got a glare from the both of them behind her back. I almost laughed.

"The others wanted to make sure it was okay if they came in. Should I have them over later?" The nurse looked at me and gave Lucy a nod. Lust stood and walked next to her and they both waved and left. The nurse walked up next to me.

"Everything feeling okay?"

"I'll live." My eyes slipped closed and I heard the door open and close one last time.
