I left sick to my stomach. My arms burned and felt heavy. My mouth ached. Breathing sent horrible pains through my torso. My head spun and my body felt explosively hot.

I think I'm going to puke.

I barely stayed on my feet, the railing was the only thing holding me up. My brain refused to function. My head dropped forwards and I felt every single inch of my body explode all at the same time.

I had no choice in the matter anymore. I couldn't hold myself back.

My sight flipped and my body heat spiked higher then it had in a very long time. Large horns appeared on the sides of my face and my nails grew turning black.

I valted over into the arena.

I heard many people have hundreds of different reactions.

The only one I picked up on was Lucy's. She got in the arena as well. I felt the heat and pressure from the large black wings stretch over my back. The black acidic liquid sizzled as it sprayed to the ground. My eyes were glued to the two of them but I did see movement. Indigo fell onto his hands beat to shit. A few others jumped into the arena but as long as they didn't get in my way, I have no quarrel with them.

"Well hello Dever-" as Pestilence started saying my name my heart shot through my body and I was at him in a flash. I cut him off with a hand over his mouth. The force caused him to be pinned against the stone wall. My body moved on its own with little no thought. I was an observer.

"I'll rip your vocal cords out before I let you speak my name." I felt him smirk against my mouth. The only people who know my full name is my family. This ass hole definitely was not in that group. I felt my wings move on there own to block Elly who had turned to me and stepped forwards. The running people gained her attention and while my eyes were away Pestilence took a large strong chomp at my hand. The skin was tough, he couldn't break through but it was brought for me to drop him.

"Would you prefer Devin my Liege?" He mock bowed and my blood boiled. I held the reigns to prevent myself from making this worse. As long as I have some control this means I'm not back to full. If that happens I'm fucked. I took a step to the side and noticed Lucy was almost to me.

"DEVIN!" She looked pissed. To my surprise Elly stepped between us. "Get outa the way kid!"

She went to push past her but her arm was grabbed. Kind of shocked I watched Elly twist Lucy's body and she used some form of martial arts to pin her to the ground. Pestilence chuckled.

"That's not a spell Devin. I don't have to control her. She actually acting of her own accord, how useful." He seemed to be explaining to me and reassuring himself. "As for you and I?" He sprung off the wall and latched onto me. "I'd say we should go somewhere more private..."

In a flash we were somewhere completely different. It was an open dirt clearing somewhere I had never seen. The view was impressive. It was obviously somewhere out of town but I could still see the afterlife building.

"Now!" He tore from my grip and created distance. "I'm sure you have lots of questions but I'm afraid you have to play to win."

"Fuck your stupid games." I crossed my arms and spat the words.

"Rude.... you haven't even heard the rules." He smiled. "You've already lost a good part of the game. You only have so much to hold onto."

"What does that mean?" My urge to murder was growing.

"Your secret is slipping through your finger tips the longer you waist time. People make assumptions quickly Devin."

"They have no reason to go that far. Who cares if they know I'm a demon."
