Chapter Thirtyone ~ Green

My face was warm. I couldn't help but cry. Emotions have never been something I was good at dealing with. I felt Lucy's arms around me and I felt safe. No more fights, no more issues. I just want this horrible day to end. I sniffled a little bit. I was scared shitless for Lust but I didn't exactly want people to know that.

"Devin, are you okay?" Lucy spoke softly.

"I just want today to be over. It's been a long day.." I sniffed again and lifted my head. I quickly wiped the tears away not wanting people to see the them. Lucy let me move away but she smiled. I looked up, eyes a little red and puffy.

"Let's go sit down. The medics know what they are doing. She will be brought to the ward shortly anyway." Lucy ruffled my hair before walking past me out of the medics tent. I took a deep breath before following. All of their other sins were outside looking super worried. I was worried Greed was going to punch me right there.

He didn't. Instead I got another hug. I don't think I had ever gotten a hug from Greed before. As soon as he hugged me he pushed away and picked me up. I was so shocked I couldn't react. He carried me over his head and started running somewhere.

"GREED WHAT THE FUCK! WHERE ARE WE GOING!" He didn't reply. He just continued yelling nonsense I couldn't hear.

He managed to run up the stairs and plop me back in my original spot.

"Devin! I should shank you right here." He sounded mad. "But I won't because Lucy said she would slap me to oblivion if I did." He crosses his arms and looked down at me. "You've been nothing but reclusive for months and now all of this shit happens?! What's been going on." He sat next to me. I sighed.

"You know about the whole Puck thing. Well he's been hounding me. I haven't given him nearly as much and he's wanted and I pretty sure this is him telling me I fucked up. He's the one who's been messing things up for everyone today." Greed nodded.

"I don't think I should be the one to tell the other sins about all of this but you need to get your shit together. Do it quickly." He stood back up as the other sins dashed up the stairs to us. "Because we miss you." He turned to face them and Lucy rushed to me checking it I was still alive. She gave Greed a proud look and sat next to me.

"Hey... um Devin?" Pride got my attention while the others chatted a bit. A few heads turned to us. "Is everything okay..? One of us should have asked you long before it was obvious that something was...off." Almost everyone was focused on us now.

"Things suck ass right now, there's a lot you guys need to know and I want to talk about it. Currently at this second is not the best time but tomorrow I'll bring all you guys to the bar-, nope not allowed there anymore. Anyway, we'll go somewhere and I'll put everything on the table." I took a deep breath. "Everything will be okay. I'm not going anywhere, no ones gonna die, today will end and everything will work out somehow." I was mostly reassuring myself out loud. Everyone seemed a little less worried and as Lucy was about to speak Goliaths voice rang out once more. There was a fight going on while all of this was happening but it appears to have ended. The next fight was to be announced.

"It seems we are on the final fight of the first round." I couldn't help but comment in the pause for dramatic pause. Only thing sins and Lucy heard.

"Thank fuck."

As Goliath looked at the paper I could see the anger and confusion spinning in his head.

"Puck an E?" He stared at the paper. "I don't know ether of these people." He looked at me and I wanted to die from his glare. He set the paper down and looked for the two named people to reveal themselves.
