"Azazel humm, strange name for girl." I took my hand back.
"Said the mysterious boy talking to said strange girl." She smiled. This girl wants to get sassy. Her two friends were being quiet and watching this all okay out.
"I could help but notice you've heard a lot about me...? Everything you said was true. Anything else you know?" She learned both arms on the table and leaned over it a little bit a sly smirk on her face.
"I know your not who you seem to be. For the sake of my friends here I won't say what."
"Okay damn." I was impressed but masked it. I mimicked her pose. "And I suppose he told you that?"
"To people with the nose for it you ooze the sent of blood." Her midnight blue eyes lacked highlights making them look black for just a moment. She blinked and it was gone. Her friends were thoroughly spooked.
"So you have a nose for it? You been around my type a lot, random talent?"
"Both. Like I said, magic shop, I know everyone."
"Name some" I was curious.
"Zaire, Primrose, Ark, Ryan, Puck, Death, Life, Creepy, Chamuel... Lilith. I have a lot of old friends who probably wouldnt even remember me."
"Your no older then 18?"
"Appearances are deceiving, you should know that." She adjusted to one hand.
"Okay. I give up, you know way to much about me." I removed my hands from the table and she abruptly smacked something on the table causing everyone to jump.
"Well now I'm just curious. I wanna to read you." Her friends seemed to know what this was and looked amused. She turned to them. "You Guys head home. This is gonna take awhile..." She gave them a small smile and they both frowned, made small arguments and left. She looked at me. Lifting her hand from the table revealed a small knife, a large crystal on a chain, and a deck of cards.
"Your a witch?"
"Nope, I'm a witch plus some."
"Your strange, that's what you are."
"And your not Mr. Demon?"
"Har har, lets do this." I wasn't about to back down to this chick. My ego is to big. She grabbed the cards and unboxed them shuffling them skillfully. She spread them in front of herself and took the necklace and the small knife.
"Poke your finger." Her tone was blunt.
"Yeah let's do some spooky black magic shit in the middle of a school playground!" I was sarcastic but took the knife and did as she asked. The clear crystal started glowing and she held it up to my finger barely touching the blood that was trickling out. It was now purple. She looked interested.
"I've done worse black magic in this park to better people." Her tone was flat and blunt again. She really didn't care about anything else but the cards and crystal. So it is actually black magic... she put the crystal down in the center of the table so the cards were between her and the crystal. "Pick a card. Take one with out looking for the auras and you will be zapped. Just a warning. Chose carefully." She smiled innocently.
I looked at the cards and took her warning into account. I hovered my hand above the cards and focused on the auras the cards gave off. The longer I focused the more sharp the images became. I saw a spectrum of colors coming from the cards. Radiating off of Azazel was nothing but black. I made a mental note of that. I felt sucked down towards a card and took it. No pain. I handed it to her.
"Most people think these are tarot cards. They are not, these cards have no one face." She flipped the card so I could see it and the picture shifted and moved to form and image. The card shown an image of a room of glasses. All the cups were full and upright except one. She turned the card to herself and studied it in silence for a moment.
