"Why you're here?" I blurted out.
Huminto siya sa pag-aarange ng mga bote sa counter table. "You're asking me, why I'm in my bar?" Scotch sarcastically replied.
I immediately rolled my eyes on him. "You're starting to sound like Rum.. I'm telling you.."
He chuckled. "Sinagot ko lang naman ang tanong mo.."
"Ang ibig kong sabihin, wala ka bang pasok? You're free today?" paliwanag ko.
"I'm just kidding.. I know what you meant. I took a leave."
Bigla akong nakonsensya ng matignan ang hiwa sa kanyang labi. "Sorr--" I was about to apologize again when he shot me a glare. I pouted and he tousled my hair.
"So, what's up?" pag-iba niya ng usapan. "I went to his office. But I didn't get the chance to talk to him. Instead, si Aly 'yung naka-usap ko.."
"Alyssa?" sabi niya at tumango ako.
He handed me a glass of juice. "She told me everything.. At humingi din siya ng tawad." sabi ko kahit hindi niya tinatanong.
I took a sip of the juice. "Woah.." sabi ko ng malasaan ang inumin. "What's this?"
He smiled. "You like it?"
I nodded in response. "It's a special cocktail that I created."
"Is there any alcohol content in it?"
"Yup. Pero sobrang konting konti lang.. It's a drink for people like you, with low alcohol tolerance." sabay tawa niya.
Minasamaan ko siya ng tingin. "Ang sama na talaga ng ugali mo.." at ulit siyang tumawa. "But seriously, it's really good.."
"I'm thinking of adding it in our menu."
"You should.." as I smiled at him. I sigh as I was circling my finger on the glass. "I think he already gave up on me Scotch.." I softly said.
"He said it?" tanong niya.
I chuckled a bit. "He doesn't have to say it.. Mararamdaman mo naman siguro 'yun."
"At 'yun ang nararamdaman mo?"
Hindi ako sumagot. Hindi ko alam. Baka kasi, napagod na 'yung tao sa kakahintay.
"Until when is your leave?"
"For as long as I like.." biro niya. I eyed him and he chuckled again. "Ugh. You're making me nuts..."
"Why?" tanong niya. "Pasama sana ako.. Let's go to the beach? I need a breather.."
"You mean right now?"
Nilagok ko ang natitira kong inumin bago siya sinagot. "Yeah.. If it's okay with you?"
He smiled. "I know a place.."

Scotch is really making me crazy. I told him I want to go to the beach but I didn't expect him to bring me in Palawan. We traveled going there, without bringing anything with us. Tanging shoulder bag ko lang ang dala ko.
Abot tenga ang ngiti ko na makarating na kami sa sinasabi niyang lugar. It was our resort before! Pero ng makapasok na kami ay walang ibang guests doon, kundi kami lang.
"Magandang hapon po Sir." bati ng medyo may kaedaran ng babae at lalaki. "Maam.." sabay ngiti sa akin.
Sumagot din ako ng ngiti sa kanila. "Good Afternoon din po.."
"Ah Aiah, sila ang caretaker ng resort. Si Manang Lidya at Manong Greg.." pakilala ni Scotch.
"Hello po.." bati ko. They both look amused as they smiled at me.
