Chapter 25

"I'm really happy that you came Aiah." Pearl softly said as I rub her back with the small hand towel. We're at the women's bath onsen with her girl friends.

"Your turn." sabi niya at nilingon ako. Lumipat siya ng upo sa likuran ko at pinunasan ang likod ko.

"I'm really sorry 'bout what happened. I think I went overboard. Sorry Ai. Hindi ko alam ba't nagawa ko 'yun. I wasn't attacking you. Naiinis lang talaga ako kay Gin--"

"It's okay Pearl. Let's just not talk about it. You should enjoy this party of yours." I said to cut her off. And she hug me from behind. "We're just here for you, okay?"

I nodded in response. Nang tawagin si Pearl ng mga kaibigan niya. "Come on, Pearl. The water's nice."

"Okay! Sunod na kami." she replied. "Tara, Aiah.."

Marahan akong umiling. "You go ahead.. Babalik na ako ng kwarto siguro. I feel a little dizzy." palusot ko. Para makaalis lang dun. To let them have their bonding time together. I feel like I don't belong there, which is kinda true. And also, for Pearl to enjoy this trip, to make her stop worrying about me.

"Ganon ba.. Hatid na kita?"

"Hindi na. Sige na puntahan mo na ang mga kaibigan mo. Okay lang ako." sabay ngiti ko sa kanya.

"Okay, sleep tight.."

I went outside the women's bath. Honestly, I wanted to take a dip in the onsen. I need some warmth in this cold night. Habang naglalakad ako ay nadaanan ko naman ang men's bath at rinig kong ingay ng mga lalaki. They're too loud. I guess, they're really having fun. As I moved a little bit forward, I saw the mixed bath. Napaisip ako, pwede naman siguro 'di ba? Kami lang naman ang tao dito.

And I think no one's in the mixed bath. Dahan dahan akong naglakad papasok ng mixed bath. As I scanned the area, no one's around. I breathe in relief. As I take off my yukata and placed my eye glasses on top of it. Inayos ko ulit ang pagkakatali ng aking buhok paitaas. As I tiptoed going in the onsen.

I breathe deeply when my body's already in the water. Inangat ko ang aking kanang kamay at tinitigan ang ring tab sa aking daliri. As I remembered what happened awhile ago.

Wala na ba talagang pag-asa? Kinalimutan niya na ba talaga ako?

I moaned as I felt my body's starting to heat up.

"Is someone there?"

I panicked when someone talked. I immediately dip my whole body upto my chin. "Scotch?"

"Aiah?" he replied and went out from the rock formation behind.

"K-Kanina ka pa? Ba't andito ka?" tanong ko. This seems so awkward. I awkwardly laughed. "Sorry, mixed bath nga pala 'to.." I continued.

"Am I making you uncomfortable? I'll just transfer to men's bath--" sabi niya ngunit agad ko siyang pinigilan. "N-No! Okay lang."

"I'll ask the dare. I dare you to give your sweetest kiss to someone you like."

Nagtinginan ang lahat kay Scotch. Someone he likes? Sino kaya ang gusto niya sa mga kaibigan ni Pearl? I bet it's Amber, she's the most attractive in their group. I look at Scotch, he took a deep breathe and suddenly stood up. He went infront of me. Napakurap ako. "Scotch?"

Ang lapit ng mukha niya sa mukha mo. Ngumiti siya. "Let me have this. Just trust me." he softly said and tousled my hair. I heard the girls shriek as he came closer. Bigla akong napalunok.

Huminto siya ng magkatapat na ang aming ilong. He smiled again. Then he suddenly kiss the tip of my nose. Namilog ang mga mata ko. Dahan dahan siyang umatras sa pagkakalapit namin. He stared at me and smiled again. Huminga ako ng malalim at napangisi, sabay suntok ko sa dibdib niya.
