As they walked into prom, they gasped in unison. The decorations were beautiful, full of sparkles and silks. They happily ran into the crowd full of their classmates, except for Jughead. He hung back by the door. Archie glanced back at him.
"Oh no, you don't." He ran back and pulled him towards the dance floor.
"I don't dance." Jughead tried to pull away.
"Yes, you do." Archie smiled as Reggie joined in dancing with them. Toni and Cheryl were swaying not far away, even though it was an upbeat techno song.
"This is such a cliche." Toni muttered. Cheryl smiled.
"Then I'm glad you're part of it."
Veronica joined Josie, Valerie, and Melody.
It was almost the perfect night, almost.
