RoseToday already felt like a good day as I woke up pretty early, despite the fact that it was a holiday. Maybe this was possible because I had already received the amount of sleep I needed from the nap I had taken before dinner time.
I checked my watch and it was only 6 in the morning. After taking a quick shower, I took some time to take care of myself and carefully moisturized my skin.
After I was done, I decided to call up Aaron as I missed him a lot. As it was 7am on a Sunday, he would still be asleep in bed and it would be rude to wake him up. But honestly, who cared? He always used to wake me up in the mornings just to annoy me and now, it was payback time.
I swiped my mobile from the nightstand and finding his name pressed the call button. As I had expected, he didn't pick it up on the first call. Aahaa! Trying to ignore the ringing of your mobile phone, aren't we? Let's see how long are you able to.
With that, on the second try after a couple of rings, he picked up the phone.
"Hey, Rose girl. I missed you." His voice is hoarse from sleep.
"Ugh... me too but that isn't enough, I want to see your face." I practically whined out. I had been feeling kind of down and lonely and needed to take a look at my lucky charm to boost up my energy.
"Aww, so I'm your lucky person?" He laughed on the other side of the phone. I just couldn't even understand how he gets me so well.
"Don't get all ahead of yourself. Shut up and do as I say." I muttered annoyed. He was right, but of course, I was not going to admit that just because, you know.
I put my phone on its stand as he changed the call to video mode and finally, I got to see his sleepy face. I smiled as he looked like a sleepy child with his blond hair sticking in all directions and a sleepy look in his forest-green eyes.
"What? I know I look hella sexy in my bed hair and all but god, you really need to stop ogling at me." He replied with that arrogant smirk on his face.
"You wish sweetie." I replied rolling my eyes and he just laughed.
"By the way.." he began. "It's really shocking to see that you're up this early. I mean did you hit your head or something?"
I sat back sighing and massaged my temples because I knew where this was heading.
"Wait! Did you guys kidnap the real Rose? Who are you?!" He fake gasped.
At times like this, I pitied myself and wondered how I ever kept up with this guy.
Keeping self-pity thoughts aside, I looked at the screen and gave him my best sickeningly sweet smile which said, "If you don't stop right now, I'm going to find you and kill you."
A smirk broke out on his face. "Nah, you are my Rose. No-one could pull off that look like you do."
With that, we both burst out laughing and halfway into the laugh I stopped to look at his face. It hadn't been a day I'm away and I already missed his presence.
Claire was so damn right when she said that even though we called ourselves best friends, we were actually more like siblings.

I checked the time after hanging up on Aaron and realised that an hour had already passed by when it felt only like a few minutes. Time passes by so quickly I thought to myself as I decided to head downstairs to have some breakfast.
"Good morning Paige. " I greeted her with a smile as I opened the fridge and poured myself some juice.
"Good morning." She replied as she stacked pancakes on my plate.
