Rose
It's been a few days since I had made it my mission to go out of my way to completely ignore Rhyan Knight's existence.
Yes, that was the best I could come up with on how to deal with the situation.
Not only did I put in a lot of effort to avoid having any kind of interaction with him, but I also didn't even acknowledge his presence and tried my best to not even look at him.
Which for my defense, was just overall a reallyyy difficult task. The guy was literally a living-breathing reincarnation of some greek god, so it cost me a lot of willpower to not even spare him a glance.
Um well, to be honest, I did sneak a few glances when he wasn't looking but since he didn't catch me, it was all good.
I couldn't tell you the exact reason why I thought I should do this because I didn't completely understand it myself.
Maybe I was doing this just for the sake of it or it was because I wanted him to get a taste of his own medicine or it was just because I was sick and tired of his hot and cold behaviour and wanted some mental peace for myself. So, call me childish or whatever but this was what I was doing right now.
Also, this thing that I was doing might not always work, but I've always known for a fact that when you purposefully ignore a person or someone who you used to normally pay attention to, it slowly drives them crazy.
I know what you're thinking. Since Rhyan is The Ice King, is what I'm doing going to affect even a single hair on his perfect head? Trust me, that's what I thought at first too.
But if that was really the case, I wouldn't be this excited to tell you guys about it now, would I? ;)
To be fair, I myself was quite impressed by how fast our lovely subject had already caught up to the fact that I was blatantly ignoring him.
What was that? How had I known that he had already noticed it when the guy's facial expressions mostly resembled a block of ice?
Well, for starters, I could simply feel the heat of his dark eyes drilling holes into my skull, urging me to look at him, and I had to try my hardest to maintain a neutral expression whenever Mr. Mask of Indifference was frequently letting out deep breaths of frustration. My favourite giveaways were how agitatedly he would run his hands through his already tousled sexy hair.
I couldn't say for everyone, but at this point even though Amber hadn't spoken a word about this to me, I'm pretty sure she had already caught up to us.
Every time we all were hanging out together, Amber made sure to choose a seat from where she can have a clear view of both Rhyan and me. I'd even caught the ball of mischief a couple of times watching us like she was enjoying her favourite chick flick, casually devouring a bag of chips or even popcorn while at it.
I don't think I can even blame her when I myself for the first time in a while, was clearly enjoying watching Rhyan deliberately lose it.
From the outside, he'd look almost the same, with his usual bored and unbothered self, but if you watched closely, you could notice the subtle twitching of his left eyebrow and the ticking of his prominent jaw.
Honestly, I would've felt a bit sorry for him if it wasn't the fact that he was the one driving me to the brink of insanity with his rapidly changing moods. One moment he was nice, open and caring to me, and in the blink of an eye, he'd return back to being his usual cold as artic ass self.
Now, tell me you wouldn't have done something similar to this if you were in my place?
See that's one of the things a girl gotta do for her mental peace intact even if it means acting like the hottest guy in the school was suddenly invisible to her.
