*Recap*
A few drops of rain had begun to fall from the sky and hit me, making me quicken my pace. I slightly shivered when some of it soaked through my clothes and touched my skin.
Just when I was about to unlock my car, I heard someone call my name, making me stop dead in my tracks.
I took a deep breath and slowly turned around to acknowledge the one person I was desperately trying to avoid.
"Rhyan."

Rose
I mustered enough courage to plaster a half-smile on my face and slowly lifted my gaze to meet his deep blue ones, which were focused observantly on me as if trying to read through me.
I felt a bit tense and I chewed on my lip nervously waiting for him to say something, when a crackle of thunder in the distance became the one to fill the silence that always managed to envelop us.
"So, Amber told me that you didn't want my help in maths anymore?" He began, looking somewhere far away at the horizon before turning towards me. A flash of light from the right illuminated half of his flawlessly sculptured face and a devilish smirk appeared on his luscious lips as he caught me staring.
I tore my eyes from the magnificent view that he was and shifted uncomfortably, dreading the confrontation. This guy did not know how to make small conversation at all. He was going straight to the point.
"Um.. yeah..." I mumbled not knowing what to say as I avoided his gaze. It had started to drizzle rain at this point and my clothes had begun to get slightly wet.
"But why?" His question caught me off guard and our eyes collided as I looked at him. I swiftly looked away and began fumbling with the hem of my romper.
"Oh. I don't know- I didn't...I mean we didn't want to burden you. And-"
"But I had willingly offered help, didn't I? So how would it be a burden to me?" He questioned in his deep voice and took a step closer.
My heart started beating faster and I licked my suddenly dry lips not knowing what to say or do.
"Yes, but-its just that-"
"I know you're making up excuses, Rose." A soft gasp escaped through my parted lips when he took another step and came up right in my face. His tall figure blocked my way, towering over my comparatively smaller frame. I could almost feel the heat coming from his body due to the cold environment and he smiled wider in triumph as he watched me.
I must've looked like a deer caught in headlights as my wide eyes connected with his heart-wrenchingly beautiful stormy blue ones. I felt as if I was hypnotised by that one wet strand of hair that was separated from the others and fell over his eyes as I wasn't able to look away. My hair had become drenched due to the rain and was sticking to my skin.
His right hand slowly came up and was about to touch my face when suddenly I heard a voice in my head which made me reel backward.
It's all just a game to him.
Rhyan looked surprised and his hand froze mid-air. I looked away as I felt something squeeze my heart painfully and he eventually let his hand fall back to his side.
"You know what, I was making up excuses." I looked straight into his eyes, "and you know exactly why."
"Look Rose, I know-"
"But now that you've asked me, I want to tell you why myself," I lowly began as tears prickled behind my eyes and I felt thankful that it wouldn't be noticeable since it was raining.
