*Recap*
A gust of wind blew past us, making me shiver.
"Uh-oh. Tonight's just about to get more fun." Amber chuckled, taking a sip of her drink as I sensed a strong presence approaching.
From my peripheral vision, I noticed a tall dark figure making way towards us.
And I knew exactly who it was.

Rose
Rhyan's heavenly cologne invaded my senses as I tried my best to suppress the urge to look at him.
I tried focusing on something else as Ivan started conversing with Rhyan. He was wearing a plain grey coloured t-shirt that looked expensive by the way it stretched over his swoon worthy body. His silky dark hair was not styled in the usual way the whole look made him look more relaxed and laid back. I could feel this magnetic pull towards him making it extra hard for me to ignore him.
Should I just flee the scene? No! That would make it look like I am affected by his presence. What should I do?
I nervously played with the delicate necklace clasped around my neck, trying to seem nonchalant.
Miraculously, my prayers are answered as I locked eyes with Lynda out of all people across the pool, and she beckoned me with her hand.
"I'll be right back. Lynda is calling me." I excused myself from the group and walked around the lit pool and towards where Lynda was standing.
"You called me?" I breathed out, trying to act unfazed by the fact that Rhyan's heated gaze had followed me the entire way here.
"Yeah, I needed to go check some things at the front near the garage. I was hoping you'd accompany me?"
"It's completely fine if you'd rather not. I'll just ask Amber." Lynda quickly added, in case I didn't want to.
"Stop being silly, of course I will." I rolled my eyes smiling.
She led the way navigating through the crowd of people at the party and I followed her. The music became fainter as we walked through the door that lead us inside the house. We just so happened to bump into Lynda's cousin, Bert as we walked through the great hallway.
"Hey, where are you ladies heading to?" He questioned stopping us.
"To the front. A staff member just informed me that there's a situation near the garage that needs to be looked into." Lynda explained to which Bert quickly replied.
"Oh, I've already taken care of that." Bert flashed a dimpled smile and then his grey eyes flicked towards me.
"Thanks, Bert." Lynda noticed him looking at me. "You two have already met, right?"
"Yeah, we have." I smiled politely, totally not expecting the next series of events that were gonna take place.
"Oh my god, look! What a coincidence, you two are matching!"
I looked down at my LBD and then to Bert who was also dressed in a black button-up shirt with matching jeans and shoes.
"Um, yeah I guess so."
