Chapter 5

The two of you reached the apartment as you took out your key.

Shiki followed behind you as you enter the small room. It wasn't much of a living space, but it was enough to get by.

"Tour?" You asked, looking over at Shiki as he nodded.

"Okay, so uhm, this is the living room..." You said, pointing at the couches and television.

You walked past the living room and pointed towards the table. "This is the dining room and behind it is the kitchen." 

"And if you follow me over here, my room and the bathroom are over there." You stated, pointing to the right with two doors in sight.

"This is it?" He asked as you look over at him.

"I don't really need a big living space, I mean it's just me. It's not like I have a big family living here or anything-"

"Want one~?" He asked, cutting you off.

"WHAT!?"

"What?" He repeated casually.

"wHaT dID yOU jUsT sAY?!" You practically shouted in shock.

"I don't know, what did I say?" He smirked mockingly.

"Y-you..." Your face grew warm as he chuckled.

"Seeing you flustered like that is cute too~" He said, walking towards you and putting a piece of hair behind your ear.

Being inches apart from him only made your blush brighten.

"Why are you so cute?" He asked mostly to himself, patting your shoulder and finally giving you some personal space.

You let out a sigh in relief.

"For now, I guess you can sit wherever you want, I'll go get some drinks." You said as you headed towards the kitchen.

You poured two glasses of water as he stood behind you.

"Don't you drink soda or anything?" He asked, looking at the cups of water.

"I would, but it's just cheaper to drink water. No worries though, it's filtered." You sighed to yourself, handing him a flimsy purple cup.

He looked at you with a hint of concern but you disregarded it, heading towards the couch and placing your cup on the side table.

After placing his cup on the counter, Shiki ran full speed and jumped beside you on the couch, almost knocking your cup off the table.

At this point, you didn't know how to respond as he leaned against you with a grin.

"So, are we going to watch TV together?" He asked with a smile.

"As long as that's okay with you-"

"Why? Are you worried that I'll make you uncomfortable?" He asked as you handed him the remote.

"Not really..." You said, unsure of what to think.

Scanning through the channels, Shiki stared at the TV in hopes of finding something suitable to put on.

"Oh-" You were going to point out an animal documentary, but he already skipped past it and you couldn't recall the channel number. 

A few minutes went by and you were unable to find anything good on.

"Do you have any movies?" He asked, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, I have a shelf in my room if you want to look there." You said this as he stood up and started walking.
