You nodded your head.
"Well I'm not that kind of gentleman~"

You looked at Shiki in shock as he pushed the bags towards you.
There wasn't any use arguing or anything so you reluctantly carried all the groceries as he chuckled.
"The look on your face as you strain your arms, it's a beautiful sight~"
You sighed.
He was smiling, so that was a valid reason to tolerate this.
You carried the groceries all the way back to the apartment, gently placing them on the table and collapsing onto the couch.
You nudged your head into the pillow and closed your eyes for a moment before sighing.
You were honestly exhausted.
You didn't need to see to know that Shiki had jumped onto the couch beside you and reached for the remote.
Although to your surprise, you didn't hear the narrator's voice on the animal documentaries...
You opened your eyes and looked back at Shiki who had a dull look on his face.
To be fair, there are only so many animal documentaries one could watch before loosing interest...
It was a popular children's show that you used to watch when you were younger.
A wave of nostalgia hit you as you smiled.
"I used to watch this show all the time..."
Shiki looked back at you in concern.
"This show looks terrible, (Y/n). They aren't even real, why would you watch this?"
You puffed your cheeks.
He just insulted your childhood show.
But you weren't going to start an argument or anything, so you spoke back to him in response.
"Children's shows don't have to always make sense. But some of them have good life lessons inside each episode for children."
"Like what?"
It took you a moment to think before you looked back at the T.V.
The main character was sharing their toys with their friends.
"Like for instance, this episode seems to be about sharing toys."
Shiki sternly looked at you.
"Well, when you bring in a toy, it's only natural to share it with friends."
"But it's my toy so why would I want to share her?" He asked.
The fact that he said 'her' flew completely over your head.
But why weren't you surprised that Shiki wouldn't like to do something as simple as sharing?
"Well, Shiki, that's why you take turns. This way everyone gets to have fun!" You smiled innocently.
Your voice sounded eager, taking the mindset as the younger child you used to be when you watched that show.
"But if it's my toy, I don't want anyone else to even go near her." Shiki stated defensively.
"People won't want to be your friend if you're being stingy..."
You weren't sure how to explain the concept to Shiki as he sighed.
"Well, I won't ever hand you over to anyone. I'm not sharing someone as special as you." He wrapped his arm around you and you looked back at him in confusion.
?
But you were talking about toys?
Why did he bring you up into the conversation.
You ignored the logistics and felt flattered by his compliment.
A few minutes went by and the two of you actually watched the program.
There was a part where a character fell down and Shiki started hysterically laughing.
The character started to cry until the main character came over to help, but Shiki found it hilarious and continued to laugh until the scene changed.
"I don't understand why you don't laugh, didn't you find that scene funny?"
You sighed.
"Of course you of all people would laugh at someone else's suffering." You sighed as he raised an eyebrow.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"I don't know, I just shouldn't be surprised that you like seeing people in pain-"
He cut you off by wrapping his arm around your neck.
"You mean like this~?" He took his fist and gave you a noogie as you laughed.
"T-T-That isn't fair," You were gasping for breath through giggles until he stopped and sighed.
"You're so sweet, my young and innocent, (Y/n)~" He said lightly as you smiled.
"Of course, you won't be for long~"

Sorry this chapter is a bit shorter,,, and for the weird upload schedule ^^;;
I kinda have this thing going where I end the chapter with stupid or suggestive comments so hecc don't wanna break that barrier I made for myself
