"But who would teach her...?" Shiki asked as he approached you, putting his hand on your shoulder.

Everyone in the student council room fell silent.

Roen??

You've never heard that name before... but it seemed like everyone else was familiar with that name.

Shiki opened his mouth to say something but Rem began to talk.

"None of you would be able to give her a proper education anyways; he seems like our best option." Rem states.

"He isn't even a student though, Rem!" Mage said.

"Yeah, aren't you being a bit unreasonable!??" Shiki raised his voice.

"I'd much rather teach the Butterfly myself-" Urie started to talk but Shiki cut him off.

"If anyone is teaching her, it's me!" Shiki stated defensively.

"Silence!" Rem once again slammed his hand against the desk and the room fell silent.

"(Y/n) (L/n). Do you have any objections?" Rem asked in an assuring manner.

You felt intimidated as the trio glared at you.

You gulped before speaking.

"I'm fine with it..."

Shiki raised his hand as if to slap you but Urie grabbed his arm.

You blinked twice at Shiki.

He was about to hit you again.

You thought he said he would stop abusing you.

Maybe he just meant actual abuse, like kicking, or something hard enough to cause red marks.

You closed your eyes, bracing yourself for another beating.

Urie on the other hand looked like he was about to scream.

"What the hell do you think you're doing!?" Urie scolded him. "She didn't even do anything, yet you want to hurt her!??"

"But don't you see? That terrified expression she wears? Isn't it beautiful~?"

Urie looked at you and then back to Shiki in disbelief.

"The Butterfly looks terrified, Shiki." He stated bluntly.

It wasn't a lie.

You were still scared of Shiki, regardless if he apologized or not.

You were unsure of how to feel about your current situation and stayed silent.

Shiki chuckled.

"(Y/n), I'm just joking~ I told you I'd stop hitting you, right~?"

You nodded your head in response.

Urie looked furious.

Rem cleared his throat before speaking in a monotone voice.

"We can have Roen start teaching you tomorrow. So until then, you are dismissed." And with that, Rem turned to his Shogi board.

A few moments went by before Shiki spoke up.

"Ready to go~?" Shiki had an unusual smile on his face.

You nodded your head, saying farewell to the student council and trailing behind Shiki.

The two of you walked in silence before he spoke up.
