Chapter 8

"So, now that that's settled, what do you want to do now?" He asked, looking at you with an odd smile.

You looked at your alarm clock, it reads 11:30 pm (23:30).

"Honestly, I'd like to sleep." The words escaped your mouth as he looked at you with a grin.

"My my, (Y/n), such a bold request~" He cooed.

"N-No that's not what I mean at all!!" You said in embarrassment, lightly pushing him away.

He glaresmd at you and you suddenly wonder if what you said was wrong.

But you really weren't.

He needed to respect your personal space...

"Hah, you want personal space?" He chuckled. You seem to have said that last part aloud

"I don't think you understand who you're dealing with, (Y/n)." He moved in closer and tilted your head up to looked at him.

"I think it's utterly adorable how you think you have free will and personal space."

You looked at him in confusion, not understanding.

"Don't give me that face. You belong to me yet you keep acting out of turn..." He said in annoyance.

"I don't belong to anyone, what are you-" You stopped yourself mid-sentance and rememberrd the previous day.

*Flashback*

"Then be mine..."

Huh...? Did you hear him correctly?

"What do you mean...?" You asked cautiously. You couldn't tell his facial expression due to the lack of light.

"Just what I said. Be mine." He stated bluntly.

*End of Flashback*

As if you were enchanted, you could recall involuntarily saying yes to him.

"So that's what you meant..." You mumbled lightly to yourself, looking to the ground.

"So you've finally pieced it all together? It took you long enough." Shiki stated with a hint of anger in his tone.

"You're not the brightest one out there, huh?" He said lightly as you looked up at him.

His hand was still on your face and you felt uncomfortable.

His grip tightened on you and you looked at him in shock.

It hurt.

You could feel your face starting to heat up from being restrained by his large hand.

You tried to get the words out but you felt nothing but pain.

All you could hear was... laughter...?

You forced yourself to open your eyes and you were met with Shiki laughing.

"Yes, that expression is perfect..." He chuckled to himself.

You couldn't handle it anymore. It was getting difficult to breathe and the pain only grew.

You've had enough.

At this point his entire hand clamped onto your face.

A part of his hand was covering your mouth, and as a last resort, you opened your mouth and lightly bit his hand.

Nothing happened besides his laughter growing.

Confused, you sink your teeth in a little bit harder, hoping for him to move his hand.
