The sky was mostly cloudy, that dreary Thursday of late January.  It was just another dreadful school day strung along with a bunch of others.  Neither was different from the next.  It was always the same boring classes with the same awful classmates and the same clueless teachers.  The only thing I had to count on was that this was my senior year of high school.

I sat under a tree on the unpopular side of the school by a fence, hugging my 5-subject spiral notebook to my chest and sighing silently to myself.  The glossed over cover had scribbles I'd doodled in class or just out of boredom with a pen or sharpie. My eyes stung as I held back the tears that wanted to emerge.  How can I possibly put up with all this damn bullshit?  Ever since they found my journal and read its contents, I've been bullied every single fucking day because of it.... Maybe I should just burn it, and prevent anyone from ever learning my secrets again.  It's so hard to act emotionless about all of this, but I don't want to let them see me cry anymore then they already have.  It will only make the bullying worse...

The bell rang ending lunch period and the thought to ditch school flickered across my mind once more.  No.. don't be stupid, Romeo.  The school will only notify home and that will just lead to questions at home which only means more pressure.  I sighed and got up, returning my face to its now normal, emotionless expression.  Then, I went on towards my next class.
