Orion's POV~

The day had started out moderately well, with Romeo feeling a bit more under the weather than he had been yesterday.  He was certainly paler and even more sluggish, especially when I insisted he take a warm bath.  At that point, I told him to stay in bed and made him a nice, small breakfast that hopefully his appetite would be able to handle.

I was wrong.  He managed to consume most of it, but rushed himself to the bathroom just as I was going to go clean up.

A sad sigh slipped past my lips as I rubbed small circles on Romeo's back.  "I'm sorry 'bout that, Romey.  I didn't think it would make you this sick."

It took him a few moments before he could reply, the majority of his heaving done with.  "I... I didn't think so, either... I don't normally puke when I'm sick..."

I hummed, soothing him a bit more.  "Well, if it get's any worse then we'll go to the doctor.  Okay?"

He nodded.

"Do you think you're done?"

He nodded again, sitting back and flushing away what used to be his breakfast.  His complexion was so pale and his aura reeked of fatigue and helplessness.

"I'm gonna get you a glass of water. Then, I want you to brush your teeth." I told him, standing up.  Without letting him respond, I went to the kitchen.

It was a little bit surprising, honestly, how it took until now for him to get sick.  I fell ill at least twice between St. Paddy's Day and grad, but not to the point I was throwing up or needed to stay in bed.  I was more just sniffly than anything.  There'd been tons of kids that went to school sick, but none of that had seemed to effect him.  It's been at least five months that I've known him and he hasn't been sick until now.  Not counting his hangovers.  If he has, then I just don't remember.

I got the glass of water and brought it back to him.  Romeo had picked himself up off the floor so he could sit on the lid, presumably having wiped up anything that got on the rim.  He looked so completely drained of energy, it was saddening.

"Thank you.." He said in a quiet, cracking voice as he took the cup from me and took an immediate sip.

"We're gonna take your temperature after you brush your teeth, okay?"

"But it's broken..." He frowned cutely, messy hair still in his eyes.

I frowned in response.  "No, it's not.  It's brand new."

Romeo gave me a veey confused look and I took the first aid kit out from under the sink.  After unzipping the pouch, I dug out the still packaged instrument.  "I never opened it."

His expression turned conflicted.  "But... what about when you got dizzy?  And saw spots?"

"What?  I never got dizzy..." I stared at him, confused.  There weren't any times I could remember like that.

"Yeah, you did... You didn't remember afterwards, when I told you, but it happened..."

I chuckled a little.  Rediculous.  "Babe, I can promise you that it didn't. I bought this thing before we met and haven't once needed to open in until now.  It hasn't been used.  I think you just had some weird dream or something."

He pressed his lips and took another sip of water, accepting defeat.  I honestly had no idea what he was talking about.  Now, it was like he was trying to reflect on the forged memory as if to recover something he might have missed.  Setting aside, the glass, he got up and began brushing his teeth while I unboxed the thermometer.
