Romeo's POV~

Coincidentally, this Orion guy was placed in the same first period as me.  He sat in the vacant seat next to mine and ended up falling asleep after being introduced to the class.  I sighed quietly to myself as I took the notes the teacher wanted us to take.

Whilst the teacher's back was turned, I could feel little paper balls being thrown at the back of my head.  As much as each one ticked away my pride, I just gritted my teeth and kept scrawling.  Some of the classmates started chuckling but I continued to ignore them.

Orion cracked his eyes open at the snickering and sat up, stretching.  "Could you guys stop being so maniacal?  It's hard for anyone to relax with all your crude insults hissing around the classroom."

I glanced around to notice that those who'd been throwing things were giving him odd looks.  I looked back at Orion who smirked and sent me a wink.

Thinking nothing of it, I quickly turned back to my notes.

After first, second period went by basically the same.  We had that and advisory together.  Third period was just me and one other kid, to be honest.  That one was thankfully easy to get through.  Orion shared forth and fifth with me as well.  Sadly, not sixth.  That class was always the worst.  Gym.  Not to say the class itself was difficult, but that the bullies purposely scheduled theirs in that period.  That's why it sucked.

By the end of sixth, I had several large bruises on my shoulders, back, chest, face and legs.  Greyson succeeded in giving me a bloody nose, again.  Using my old gym shirt to stop the flow of blood since the coach was gonna replace it, I walked outside and towards the gate.

Orion jogged up to me, having fought off a few girls who found him to their liking.  "What happened?  Gym class?"

I just nodded wordlessly.

He cussed, baffled.  "Damn.  This school is just shitty as far as staffing and students go..."

Again, I said nothing.

"Hey, come to my place.  We'll get you cleaned up." He grabbed my free wrist, much to my own shock, and started dragging me off towards his place.  Once more, my words remained silent.

~

The gym shirt was discarded to the trash and the blood on my face was cleaned up.  A tampon was stuffed up the side that was bleeding.

"Mom doesn't like using these, so we use them for nosebleeds."  Orion explained.  "They work really well."

"I see..." I replied with a half nasally voice.

"So tell me.  How long has this bullshit been happening?" The blonde questioned.

"Since they found out.." I answered simply.

"Hm..." he hummed.  "And is it this bad every day?"

I nodded.

His mouth twisted to the side and he looked around.  Then, he stood up.  "Come on.  Let's go watch some anime."

Orion's POV~

"Come on.  Let's go watch some anime." I suggested, standing and beckoning he follow to my room.  If he were a puppy, his little ears would be perked by the suggestion and he got up, tailing me.  I closed the door behind us once we entered.  "What do you want to watch?  I have a Crunchyroll account and one for Funimation as well."

"Hmmmm....."

"Hmmmmmmmm Hetalia?  Hmmm Haikyu?"

He paused a moment.  "I've seen all of Hetalia.. I don't think I've seen Haikyu."

A smirk returned to my face.  "Then that's what we're watching~  I think you'll love it"

"Okay.. what's it about?"

"Volleyball players."

"Hmm.."

"It's not as boring as it sounds, trust me." I promised.

"Kay."

I turned on my television and put on Crunchyroll.  He sat on my bed next to me and I put on the show.

~

Six episodes later, I glanced at him to see a totally new expression.  His lips were a twisted line and his forest green eyes were glazed with excitement.

"What do you think?" I asked, smirking wider than earlier.

"Play the next one!" He blurted quickly.

I chuckled.  "Told you you'd like it~"

The next one got played and we ended up binging the entire first season.  It was almost 2 in the morning when the credits on episode 25 rolled and I glanced at him again.  He had managed to stay awake the whole season and was finally lulling to sleep.  We had both repositioned to laying on our stomachs, facing the TV.

For once my face was straight as I watched him doze off.  He had gentle features beneath the bruises on his face.  His hair was the color of dark chocolate and appeared to be very soft.  I didn't dare touch it in fear of waking him, though.  Maybe later...

After the credits finished, I clicked the TV off and went over to flick the lights off.  My eyes looked back over to the guest.  We're both gay... but I don't want to make things any more difficult for him than they are.  However, if I became his boyfriend then the school would know that he's not alone.  And it would probably make protecting him easier.

I need to find a way into his gym class.  I'm not gonna let anyone treat him like that again.  It's not fair to Romeo..

The kid shifted to his side, curled up a bit with his forearms crossed in front of him as if he was holding something small close to him.  I wonder if he sleeps with a plushie..  Chuckling a bit to myself, I laid down beside him.  Monday, I'd speak to the counselor at school to move my sixth period to his and hopefully put a stop to that abuse. I wouldn't force Romeo into a relationship just because we're both gay.

Not to say he isn't my type...

Sighing softly again, I closed my eyes and let sleep take me away.
