Orion's POV~

It was much to my own surprise to find Romeo hugging my arm upon waking that late, Saturday morning.  He was still sound asleep, almost like the dead.  Perhaps he never got much sleep.  Carefully, I removed my arm from his grip as to not let the kid freak out if he'd done it subconsciously whilst sleeping.

Once my arm was freed, I stretched and got up.  It was 11:59am, so what would the harm be in breakfast for lunch?  I headed towards the kitchen to start on some food.  If that kid wouldn't wake on his own accord, then perhaps the smell of food would coax him back to the land of the living.

Romeo's POV~ [30 mins later]

The scent of egg soaked bread toasting on a skillet  along with the strong smell of crispy bacon wafting into the room was what awoke me from my slumber.  My eyes cracked open and I looked around at my surroundings.  At first I was confused until I recognized the scent that was everywhere and especially the bed.  A light blush tinted my cheeks that I couldn't seem to ward off.

Fuck, when did I fall asleep?  Was it right after the show or in the middle of it?  Did anything happen last night? I racked my brain, trying not to freak out.  No... we just watched anime and I guess I just passed out on his bed from exhaustion.  My body feels totally normal and all I taste is morning breath... what time is it?  I withdrew my phone from my school bag which was still by the bed.  Twelve-thirtyish.  I wonder what time I fell asleep.  Needless to say, that might've been the best night of sleep I've had in a while...

The reminder of food made my stomach growl.  That french toast smells so good...

"Morning~" Orion's voice suddenly came from the doorway, causing me to look over.  He wore sweats and a t-shirt under a red and white apron.  "Or should I say afternoon?  Anyways, I only just woke about half an hour ago and I'm just finishing the food, so come on out if you're hungry."  He smiled cheerfully and walked away.

I nodded even though he was gone and looked down a bit.  No... why am I so nervous and anxious?  Because I don't have any friends I guess... and I can barely trust anyone, so I guess I was a little scared.  I sighed.  But this guy... he's cool.  I guess I can trust him... after all he's helped me.

Fixing my clothes, I got up and went out of the room to the kitchen where he was dishing up the plates of food.

"I didn't know how much you wanted, so I made a bunch!" Orion stated proudly.

"Thank you..." I said, taking a plate and looking around. "... Where are your parents?  Work?"

"Nah," he replied.  "This is my place.  My parents kinda disowned me, so I disowned them in return and moved out."

A frown twitched its way onto my face.  "... Oh."

"Yeah.." He said, a momentarily look of irritation on his face.  But it was quickly replaced by a more bright expression.  "So anyways, let's sit!" He went and put his plate on the table after turning off the stoves in the kitchen.

I placed my own adjacent to his.  Pouring some syrup that was already set out over my food, I tried to think of something to say.

"So when's your birthday, Romeo?"  Orion questioned curiously.

"... September nineteenth, nineteen ninety-six."

He raised his eyebrows.  "Wow.  That's a lot of nines.  And you're older than me."

I looked at him as I put down the syrup.

"I was born November first, nineteen ninety-six."  Having already applied syrup, he took a bite.
