Chapter 38: Surprises

A/N: You might be wondering: why the new cover?  Well that's bc I'm currently working on a new ome amd I didn't like the old one enough to keep it.  So the one on it at the time this is posted will be the temporary placeholder.

Now on with the story~

Also, mostly just cuteness in this chapter and a little presetting for future angst.  Not too much to worry about.  And I will try to keep a weekly update schedule -which might become even a twice a week thing depending on how well things go 🙃

Romeo's POV~

I woke up on Saturday morning, alone in bed at 11:45am.  A loud part of my brain screamed for me to just go back to sleep, but unfortunately slumber just didn't feel like hanging out much longer.

Stretching my limbs lazily and rolling onto my stomach, I sighed.  The bed is too comfy to get up... I'm so tired.  Why can't I just go back to sleep?  What time does Rion get back from work anyways?  He said his schedual changes on the weekly so I never even know...

Why does he have to work on a weekend...

Giving up on falling back to sleep, I rolled back towards the wall where my phone was plugged in and took it off it's charger.  In the least, I could send him a text asking and maybe catch up on some apps and mobile games.  If not, then maybe edit one of my stories.  First, though, I checked the notifications on the top bar.

I swiped away most of them, adding videos that I might be interested in some other day to watch later, but tapped on the Facebook notif.  I didn't get many friend requests, but when I did it was because I asked someone to find me or it was some rando-recruiter who wanted to have some stupid-long friends list or was just looking to flirt.

"Well... I guess so." I mumbled to myself outloud.  "Abel wasn't at school yesterday.... I wonder if Tessy plans on dropping by again soon.  It would be nice if she could bring by... uh... Lina?  Lita?  So Ri could see his little sister... If their parents would even allow it... Fucking bullshit mother fuckers."

Greatful to see that I knew both of them, I accepted and was about to set down my phone when I got a message almost immediately.  I checked the bubble that popped up and opened it.
