Romeo's POV~

Sometime after Orion finished letting out his tears, he was finally able to fall asleep.  I took a few long, silent moments to muself to reflect on how royally fucked up his parents were.  They were right up there alongside my own father.  I never liked speaking ill of people I didn't know personally, but the things they've done to Orion and his sisters was enough for me to wish ill upon them as well.

Desiring a destressor from the load of pain Rion had unveiled, I decided to read my texts.

Yesterday
8:11pm

Abel:
Duuude my car fucking broke down on me 😑😑😑 I'm so pissed.  I have an interview tomorrow, too.

Today
7:06am

Mom:
Morning, Romeo!  Sorry I haven't  been messaging.  It's just been so busy lately.  How are things with Orion?

I frowned reading mom's text, ignoring it and instead replying to my friend.

11:43am

Me:
Aww, that sucks
Good luck with the interview.  Where did you apply?

I clicked my phone off and put it down with a small sigh.  None of the apps on it cried my name loud enough for me to find them even worth my painfully vast amount of time that needed killing.  I laid on the bed beside Rion, staring at the ceiling with a mostly blank mind.  Even the demons had cornered themselves, thankfully out of reach.  But it was too quiet.  The cats were out in the livingroom or something and there was nothing besides Ri's soft, even puffs of breath.

Peace had for once in a long while engulfed the room.  A boring peace.  I wasn't nearly tired enough -like I might have been earlier- to get any more sleep.  I'd need melatonin or something.  Sleep didn't really sing a very pretty song anymore, but I wanted Ri to get as much rest as he could.

I sighed running a hand trough the greasy locks of my hair.  A shower would be a way better idea than just allowing myself to be consumed by thoughts and self-generated negative energy.

Getting up as carefully as I could, without moving Rion be disturbed, I grabbed my phone and went to the bathroom so I could wash away all the stress and depression from the past few days.

Orion's POV~

The smooth sound of a singing voice had stirred intself into my mind as I'd slept, forcing me into a relaxed state.  I swam with it, wanting to hold onto it, but it slipped away much sooner than I wanted.  It left me in the dark abyss of my mind, alone, for a time.  I tried to rediscover it, search for it, find it again, but it was gone.  Everything was quiet, but, when I was just about to give up, a new sound was what stared me awake.

I groaned, turning and just near slapping my phone off the bed.  I picked it up and swiped answer before putting it to my ear.  "The fuck you want?  I was sleeping."

"Seriously?  It's, like, 5:30.  Since when do you hit the hay this earlier.  Besides, you weren't answering my texts." Tessy's voice said from the other end.  "Did you tell Romeo?"

"Yeah, yes." I blurted, mind still groggy from sleep and barely even clear of what we were talking about.  I really just wanted to get the conversation over with so I could sleep more.  "Sorry, I'm tired..."

"No, you're not." She stated as she went on.  "I just happened upon another email that dad recieved and it's still in his inbox.  This means we have what we need to get this all under wrap.  Months of refiguring dad's new passcode paid.  He may be an ass, but he can certainly keep a secret."
