Orion's POV~

Some time had passed since Tessy and I had snuck into the estate.  She said the best I could do was try and stay away from them and she'd do the underlying research herself.  It pained me to just sit still but I would rather try to make sure Ro wasn't affected by any of it.

Before I knew it, graduation had rolled up and Ro and I stood with the rest of the senior class.  He was fiddling with the tassel on his cap, robed up in deep maroon.  It accentuated the color in his hair we had touched up the night prior.  His green eyes weren't as hidden anymore, making him look more awake than usual.  He had even let me style it a bit this morning.

"Here, let me help you get it straight." I smiled, taking it from him and carefully placing it on his head.  Romeo just gave me a deadpanned look.

"This is unreal..."

I frowned.  "And what do you mean by that?"

"Graduating."

"Why is it so unreal?"

"I mean... somehow the placement of a tassel has a big meaning.  Like 'ooo, you're done with high school, now move your tassel to the right and go fuck yourselves'."

"HA!  It's funny 'cause it's true!" Vernon laughed out of no where.  He slung an arm over Ro's shoulder and started leaning on him.  "You're cute, Romey~"

I was totally cool with the guy being buddy-buddy with my boyfriend until he pinched his cheek.  That's when I grabbed Romeo by the wrist and pulled him away.

"I'm sorry, but I am the ruler of Rome and you're not aloud to touch this holy grail." I said, encasing the smaller boy in my arms.

"Rion, you'll fuck up my hat.." Ro whined.  He wiggled free and quickly readjusted, red furiously tinting his molested face.

Abel rolled his eyes, striding up.  "No need to OCD-freak; it's not like they'll be recording us when we walk."

"Shut up."

"Bite me."

A moment later, Mrs. Stiller stepped into the room and made a motion with her arm.  "Okay everyone!  It's time to get lined up; five minutes until the ceremony!"

Romeo let out a sigh as, one by one, everyone filed out of the old dance room and into the hallway which had been blocked off from the rest of the building.  Everyone sorted out into two even lines, standing beside their respective walking partners.  They let us choose, so of course Rome and I requested to be partnered together.

I glanced over at him.  "Wanna hold my hand?"

He shook his head.  His expression was plain but his presense only tasted just a bit like nervousness.  "I'm good.  I don't need to be training-wheeled through this.  I honestly don't see what the big deal is, really."

"Oh!" Vernon, who was standing in front of Romeo, turned to look back at us.  "The four of us should celebrate after this.  We should all go out to eat and throw a little after party~"

Abel turned towards us as well from his place before me.  Romeo looked to me with not much change in expression besides his eyebrows softening and eyes glimmering with hope.

He's seriously too cute.  "Yeah, that sounds like fun."

"Yessss." Romeo said softly.

I chuckled and pinched his other cheek.  "I'm not your mom; you can speak up for yourself."

He just wrinkled his nose and turned to face foreward.

"Awesome~" Vernon said.  "Now we just gotta figure out where we're gonna eat and then-"
