Romeo's POV~

The keyboard of my laptop clicked under my fingers, the sunlight pouring in through cracked blinds and spilling onto the bedroom floor.  Both felines lay curled up in the warmth it radiated as I worked on more of my story.  Music played on a seperate tab from Youtube; a playlist I'd put together of both songs I liked and songs Rion had gotten me into.

He was currently at work.  Left a note saying that he had to work a "double", apparently.  All I really knew was that he'd be home late, so I was currently just stuck at home with the cats.  Not that I was complaining.  I never minded solitude when I could get it and the cats made great company at times.  But, being alone did sometimes feel... lonely.

At times.

I was just greatful to be in a good zone for working on my new story.  In the past few hours I'd started, I managed to finish drafting and editting another chapter and was probably halfway done with another.  Depending on where I'd decide to leave it off.

Was I using the motivation as a distraction?  Yes, yes I was.  Guiltlessly.

My phone beeped its message tone and I checked the new text.

11:34am

Rion:
On lunch break now
Don't forget to eat something💜

Me:
Okay
I've been making progress on my book

Rion:
Awesome!  Can't wait to read when you update!

Me:
Mhm .-.
Not saiyan anything

Rion:
Phooey XP

I gave a small smile before clicking off my phone.  Unfortunately, it dropped just as easily as it slipped onto my lips.  What if someone were to attack him at work?  On break?  Where does he have his breaks?  What if they try to get him on the way home?  Is he gonna get another ride from T?

Ahh... of course he will...  Why wouldn't he?

Ugh... I need to put myself out of commission.  Otherwise I'll burn myself dead.

My fingers tapped thoughtfully against the smooth surface of the laptop by the mouse pad.  It would probably be a good idea to try and get some more practice in before Abel got too annoyed to teach me anymore.  Warching anime could also help as a distraction.  Licking my lips, I turned on the PS3, bedroom television and scrolled to Netflix.

Watching a show could also help inspire me for more ideas...  I closed the Youtube tab and searched for an anime to watch.  I settled on one titled CANAAN which looked interesting.  It's thumbnail showed an anime-stylized young woman with short, white hair weilding guns and looked pretty action-packed. She also low-reminded me of Rion's sister.

I pressed play and made sure that it was set to Japanese dub with subtitles.  Setting aside the laptop for the time being, I repositioned and leaned back into the pillows.

Mochi hopped up onto the bed and padded her way over onto my lap where she lingered for some loving pets.  Satisfied with the few that I gave, she then sauntered off out of the room.

A mouthful of fur and the inability to breath woke me from a not so pleasent dream.  I groaned and turned my head to make the kitten on my face roll off onto the bed with a meowing complaint.

My eyes opened to see Ninja giving me an unamused look with his slitted eyes.  I gave him an empty frown before scratching his head and spitting out the bits of his fur that got in my mouth.
