Orion's POV~
Luckily, I knew exactly what Romeo seemed to like off the menu so ordering the pho was a piece of cake. I stepped out of the restaurant and made my way back down the street to the bus stop. My hopes were to reach the booth before it got there so I could make it back in time.
Romeo had been left with a cool, damp washcloth folded up on his forehead and I didn't want to take too much longer. With the plastic bag full of our to-gos hanging from my fingers, I reached the lonely booth and checked the times. Ten minutes to go. Sighing, I sat on the bench with the hot food in my lap. If only I could make time fly. Where are super powers when you most need them?
As soon as the metalic beast steamed its breaks up to the stop, I hopped on and remained standing whilst holding onto one of the bars. Sure, it wouldn't make the transportation any faster but at least once we reached my destination I could more easily just jump off and get one my way. The only thing that was vexing me was the 3pm traffic.
"Any fucking day now..." I mumbled to myself, thankful that no one was seated near me and instead near the back. Once the bus reached the closest stop to the apartments, I practically flew off and made sure the bag of soup was still in tact before briskly pacing down the sidewalk.
Just a few blocks...
Cars and trucks whizzed by, going as far over the limit as they dared. It was a blindspot playground from the police, so many people were going ten sometimes even fifteen over. Not that I wasn't already used to that, given my history and knowing the crowd I used to hang out with. Used to have a sweet ride before totalling it in a crash. Decided against getting a new one until my temper was under check. After moving out, my motives turned to staying on the downlow. Can't exactly play incognito going to high school with an expensive sports car.
I wasn't stupid. Or, at least, I tried not to be.
There was an opening, where the speeding traffic had just moments ago been thriving. Go now. You'll get home sooner. Romeo needs to eat.
Briefly darting my eyes both ways, I braced the food in my arms and sprinted across the street.

Romeo's POV~
My eyes fluttered open for the third time and I could tell that I had drifted to sleep because the light outside had changed. The sun became horizontal with the window, beaming light onto the bedroom wall. I blinked to adjust to the minor change in brightness, cringing in discomfort to the moist rag on my head. Taking it off, I stretched uncomfortably before sitting up and taking a sip of water to sooth my dry and scrathy throat.
At least my fever seems to have gone down. No more uncomfortable temp-waves.
It was when my eyes danced to the numeric clock resting on Orion's bedside table that the actual time of day finally clicked. It was 6:16pm.
Where the fuck is Rion!?
I lept out of bed, accidentally dropping the glass and stumbling into the wall. My head rushed as spots filled my vision, blacking it out. I breathed out heavily and raspily, impatiently waiting for my sight to return. "Rion!? Are you home!?"
No answer.
Panic had fully sparked within me and I rushed to find my phone, dialing his number immediately. It went straight to voicemail, only heightening my fear. Did he get run over? I tried to call again but to no avail. Was he murdered? I tried again and again before I started to leave actual messages. In my state, I couldn't even remember what any of them said.
