"Give me your hand".Dr.Frank held his hand out and with a little hesitance Melanie grabbed his and lifted herself up from the chair.She felt nothing in her legs and suddenly began falling.
"I got you".He grabbed her arms and placed her back on the chair."I can't do this".She whimpered.
At that moment she felt weak helpless.They had tried many times to make her atleast stand on her own byt she would fall everytime.She came with a thought that she would make atleast a little progress but nothing.Absolutely nothing.
"Melanie".He soothed her legs."It will take time.You have to have patience don't give up.Not yet".He shook his head."But-".She croaked.Her voice hoarse from crying.
"No buts".
She weakly smiled and nodded but a litlle part of her couldn't help but be disappointed.Dr.Frank sighed,seeing through her fake smile."Come next week an we will try something different".
She sniffed,wiping her eyes with sleeve."Thank you".She hugged him and reached for her crutch.She already stayed tem minutes more than she should have.Others at home would start asking where she was if they noticed she was missing.Melanie was deep down praying,they don't.They never do.
She walked outside the building to see the driver's car waiting for her.She had called him when she was on her way down.She smiled at the thought that he has been driving around even though she told him to go home.
He got out and and opened the back door for her.Melanie thanked him sat in."You should have headed home instead of waiting for me".She said.
"Actually Miss Melanie.....".He ran hand down his face and looked at her through the rear mirror."What is it?".She asked.Her stomach churning at the pale expression of his.
"I didn't go home because I was ordered not to".He said quietly."Ordered?".She asked,confused.She never ordered him anything."By who? I never-".
"My Master Lucas".He cut her off.The name made her blood ran cold."L..lucas".She stuttered.He nodded."You have to believe me,I didn't tell him anything but he found out anyway".
Melanie nodded but the fear was only increasing by time.The though of Lucas knowing made her shiver visibly."I am sorry Miss Melanie I-".
"It is okay".She assured him."What..what did he say?".She knew he wouldn't have taken the news of her missing very calmy.The most thing that scared her was that he would not let her out for her next appointment.
"He only told me to bring you home when your work is done".The driver replied."It is alright".She told him but it sounded more like she was trying to convince herself."I won't let the blame come on you.You were only obeying command".
He shook his head and sighed."They won't fire me for this,I am sure.It is you who I am worried about.Miss Melanie".His words confirmed the fear that was creeping up her skin.Now she was sure she was so in trouble.

When Melanie entered the house,the first sight she saw was of a teary Maria."I am so sorry".She exclaimed falling into her arms."He shouted at me.I had no choice but to tell him".She sobbed in Melanie shoulder."It is not your fault".She patted her back and at the same time tried to hold her crutch in place.
"You don't understand.He told me to ask you if you had dinner and I said.....I said that you ate before leaving.I am sorry it slipped".She continued crying to which Melanie had to pull her back and tell her to calm down."He was going to find out sooner or later".She said but she knew she was lying.He wasn't suppose to find out.Not so soon.
Melanie sighed because she knew has to go and face his anger.And if she would get lucky he might not hit her.He never did but once his anger triggers who knows what will happen.
"Where is he?".
"In your room".
Melanie hid her expression and nodded before making her way towards her room.She reached her knob and twisted it.She wished it was just a nightmare but no,Lucas was really standing beside her bed.His back facing her.
She thought he didn't hear her come in since he made no movement.So she decided to call him.
"Lucas?".
