This is it, the Apocalypse

Chapter 6

I what until they all finished there breakfast.

" What do we do know? " Jake asks in his annoying voice.

" I think we should go to my house and check things out there " I say hoping that my parents would be there they always know what to do.

" Yeah ok " Axel says and all the boys start to get ready.

I pull my sweatshirt on and slide my 'Converse'. I grab the pitch fork that still had blood on it and stair at it for a minute.

" Riley, you ok " Sky asks. I don't know how long I had been staring.

" Yeah let's go you guys ready " I say snapping in to reality.

We all walk over to the back door.

" Ok there's a ditch in the woodsy area of the yard that will lead you to your streets houses " Jake says before unlocking the door.

Samuel and Isaac lead us then Jake behind the the Sky and then me and Axel in the back watching from behind.

We begin walking in this storm ditch for a while it's much colder to day.

" Hey are you really ok? " Axel whispers to me.

" Yeah I'll be fine " I say. I lied.

He looked at me concerned.

" Don't worry about me, ok " I say sincerely

He smiles.

" I can't help it ".

We walk for about 5 more minutes and were in the back yard of this girl who rode my bus when we were younger her name was 'Hannah' and I think Axel and her used to date like 3 years ago. Her house looked hallow.

She lived four houses down. I could see my house. My home.

We make it there and I go around back to open the door. It was unlocked.

" Hello? Mom. Dad. " I yell through the house no reply I run to my room and shut the door. Slide down to wall and cry into my knees.

Bum-bum, bum-bum, bum-bum. I hear nocked on the door. I pull my self together and open the door.

" Riley, there you are " Sky says.

" So mom and dad aren't here that's ok we'll find them, but for know pack up a bag if clothes ok "

I run down stairs see the boys on the living room all talking quietly.

" Hey Jake can you pack up some food from the cabinets and put then..." I run in to the hall closet and grab a bag. " In here ".

"Yep " he says taking the bag.

" Samuel Isaac can you go out to the garage and grab any thing we can use "

" Yeah " they say together running out the back door.

" Axel " I say turning around thinking of what he can do.

" How can I help " he says back.

" Come here " I pull him in to the back room and shut the door.

I find the key and unlock my dad's gun safe.

" Okay grab a few guns and the amo is in the draws over there ok " I go through the closet to find a duffle bad.

" Here put them in here " I say handing him the bag.

" Okay "

I walk towards the door and twist the knob taking a deep breath.

I go up stairs and grab a black backpack with three zip up pockets a big, medium, and a little one. I pack some pants, long sleeve shirts, socks, undergarments,some scarfs, a sweatshirt, and a coat I take of my converse I have on and through them in my bag and put on my combat boots change in to my black jeans and a red plaid button up fleece. I through my backpack on and walk in to Sky's room.
