Chapter 32

The rest of the day was pretty calm I got a few evil glares from Hannah but I just gave them back. Brice was asleep from the pills, but he was we'll. The sun had set every one was inside eating dinner I wasn't that hungry though so I just stayed in my room and stared at the ceiling in my dark room there was a small lantern on my night stand but it only made a little light.

Today was Friday 4 days till the army was supposedly coming to help. I really felt doubtful about that but I mean I needed to be happy for every one else so they continue to have hope.

I stay silent of thought for awhile just laying staring out the top of the window barely seeing stars through the curtains.

I see the door open and someone slides in and it closes.

" Hello? " I call out to my small dark room.

" Hey " the low and calm voice of Axel calls out he walks closer to me and I know see his face by the dim light if the lantern.

I scoot over in my bed allowing him room he agrees and pulls of his shirt and jeans and slides under the covers next to me.

" Your freezing " I say in his ear feeling his cold hands around me.

" Warm me up " I could feel the smile on his face. I snuggle up closer to him resting my head on his chest and he wraps an arm around me and I hold his cold hands.

" Do you really think the army is going to help? " I whisper in a small voice.

" I'd like to hope so, that they would take us all away from this hell but..." he doesn't finish but he felt exactly the same way as I did.

" Maybe we'll be lucky " I say quietly looking across the room.

" Maybe I'll get lucky " he whispers in my ear running his hands down my side.

" Or not " I say slapping his hand away.

"Stop it now I can sense the pout on your face " I say squeezing his chest tighter.

He let's out a slight chuckle. As we both drift asleep.

I wake up to the sun rising out my window. But Axels no were in sight I take a quick look around. I don't like the feeling of waking up not next to him. I hop out of bed throw on my jeans and but on my white long sleeve and Axels coat the one he put around me the first night. I find my gun and place it in the back of my pants and head out.

I walk out facing the living room were the twins and Jake sit eating the Carter's and my mom and grandma are sitting at the dinning room table. I walked over to the kitchen and grabbed some bread and took a bite of it moving to Brice's room Willow, Dametre, and Sky were in there chilling with Brice who was awake.

" Hey Bricey how you feeling?" I say walking over to them.

" Better " he says smiling.

" Good " I smile back. Now were was Axel at.

" Have you seen Axel? " I say rubbing sky's back as she sit on the edge of the bed.

" No I though he was still asleep " Sky says giving a confused face.

" He's not " I say starting to get worried.

" I'm going to go check around I'll be back " I say smiling at Brice.

" Alright " he says weakly but smiling brightly.

I head out of the room and walk down the hall.

" Hey have you seen Axel? " I say walking in to the kitchen looking to the dinning room were my mom sat.

" No hun I haven't " my mom says making a lost face.
