Chapter 27

The Carter's were eating at the kitchen table with my grandma and mother. I occasionally eyeball Hannah as she stairs at me and Axel. I grab a few plates and walk to the kitchen.

" Riley Michelle Lee what are you wearing?!" my mom says in her mom voice and the group at the table laughs Hannah roles her eyes. I just laugh as my face reddens I put the plates in the sink and run off to my room to put some clothes on I squeeze it to some skinny jeans and the black long sleeve I wore yesterday comb through my hair and walk out. I give my mom a big goofy smile.

Axel was putting dishes in the sink looking to me a laughing.

" Aw I liked the other outfit " he say laughing. I blow him a kiss and he catches it and winks.

" Riley can I talk to you? " my mom says coming up to me grabbing my arm pulling me to my room.

She shuts the door behind us. Crosses her arms and gives me a look.

" What's going on between you and... and that boy?" she asks rudely she was rarely like this.

" Axel, and I love him " I say trying to sound rude but I can help but smiling.

She hugs me tightly.

" Okay but if he hurts you..." she smiles but I interrupt her.

" He would never id kick his ass " I say laughing.

" Riley Michelle what's your mouth " she says laughing at me. We leave the room together I see Axel doing the dishes. I come up behind his and put my arms around him.

" Miss me " he stops doing the dishes and turns around.

" Yes " he says kissing my forehead

" Eh huh" my mom clears her throat walking by probably in line for the bathroom. I take a step back and she nods then she's out of sight.

" I want to take you out for dinner " he says smiling down to me.

" What?" I giggle.

" I have a surprise for dinner tonight " he says wrapping his arms around me.

" Okay " I wink at him and stand on my tip toes and kiss him.

" What's for work today?" I ask pulling away.

" Feed animals plan our special night "

" I'll do the dishes " I say pushing him aside tacking the rag and start washing dishes.

" I'll dry " he says wiping my but with the drying cloth.

" Ow I'm going to get you " I say wiping him back with my rag in his butt.

He puts his fingers through my hair and kiss me again so loving.

" We need to do the dish " he says pulling back.

" Your just so tempting " I give him a quick peck and we finish the dishes in sweet silence.

Today I was going to clean more the boys were making booby traps by the road that gets to the farm the twins and Jake insisted to protect us. Mr and Mrs Carter, my mom, and grandma are going right up the road to get a few supply's and Hannah was watching Caleb. Axel Sky and Willow were feeding animals and milking cows and getting eggs. Brice still lay unconscious.

After every one went out to do there job I told Hannah there was a swing out side if her and Caleb wanted to swing and they did I got in the shower. My grandmas house water all came from the well. The shower was cold but it felt good to clean off I don't remember my last shower unless you count the one Jake gave me yesterday. I shampoo my hair and then rinse it out soap my whole body seeing brown water swirl at the floor of the shower. Nasty. I rinse of and hop out there's no towels in here. Great. I sprinted across the hall to Jakes room but Axel and I stayed in there. I went in the closet and found a towel drying my body off.

" This by far is my favorite outfit " I hear from across the room. I jump back and scream.

" You scared me to death what are you doing?" I say wrapping my self in the towel. As Axel comes out of the shadow in the room and into the light of the window.

" I came to get something for tonight " he says winking at me my face is already red.

" Okay bye now " I say pushing his chest but he didn't budge.

" Aw but I don't want to miss the show" he says putting his arms on my waist.

" Bye!" I shout pushing him out and shutting the door behind him.

I go to his bag and look around for a shirt I find a gray plain long sleeve and run back in to the bathroom I put on my jeans and bra then Axels shirt I liked his clothes the smelled of him which drove me crazy and it ft like I was close to him even if he wasn't next to me. I walk to my room and start cleaning I unpack my bag into the dresser and and clean up the rest of the stuff I go back to the room and grab Axels bag and unpack it in my room. He was going to stay in here any way. I see my bra fall out of his bag and I smile at it putting it on top of the clothes in the draw.
